Home Recording?

I have a band, and we would like to record a few songs!
we know that there are a few recording machines!
since we only have an eguitar, 1 drummer and 1 vocalist, 8 line-ins would be enough for us!

is there any recording machine which you can recommend us? not too expensive, acceptable quality and easy to record!
we would record every single instrument - not all together! we only need 8 line-ins for the drums (toms, snare, bass...) !

and it should be possible to convert the songs on the pc!

thanks!

i'm not sure what you're asking....
let me see if i get this, you're in a three peice band with one guitarist, one drummer and one vocalist?
one line in for the vox, one line in for the guitar(two if you want both a direct signal and a mic'd signal), and then several line ins for the drizzums? if that's what you're saying then it should work...
now, a couple suggestions off the top of my head

Fostex MR-8 8-Track Digital Recorder : roughly $300 new
Tascam 8-Track Digital Portastudio 788 : roughly $600
and boss also has some good shit.
