Barry McGuire's "Eve of Destruction" and Eric Burden's "Sky Pilot" keep going thru my head today as I was reading the Berg thread at ChitChat and thinking of the further events of the war. My old 60's /70's protest songs have been stirred. This would be done that way and I just about have a melody lie for it, too. There are only 7 lines in the first verse because that becomes the chorus eventually. Thanks for the read and comments appreciated.

And I just reread it myself and it could be adapted to a metal piece, too.

I liked it Bobbi. it has a nice touch. i'm not so sure about the whole "we've got to stop it" part though...it seems to me that as long as we're on this earth there'll be war, so why try to stop it? why not just join in???.......dude, can you see the controversy coming??

Sometimes my writing relieves or sorts out inner controversy. I needed an outlet to release some stressful feelings and this and the next one came out.

I don't want anyone to have to fight or to die ever. And the world is a lot more peaceful than it was centuries ago. I haven't heard of the rack or iron mask being used lately.
If I had to deal with the world, I'd sit everyone down with a bib, give everyone cookies and ice cream and tell them not to worry cuz there was enough for everybody.

I've always liked a mixure of singing and sceaming. I think it builds tention and makes everything more dynamic.

If you'd want scream in it, I'd say either the chorus or the "War" verse would be best suited. The only thing I don't like about screaming is ya can't understand the words !!! Yeah , sometimes old age takes over.

If 'insane doesn't mind or wants to work with ya, I'd give ya free rein on it. I'd just like to hear it sometime and get credit for collaboration with you guys.

I'd prefer that actually. You're right. It isn't necessary and, as I preach to everyone else, it would have a broader audience without it.
