Nice question, because they are just soooo close in genre eh?
I like both, black sabbath has some great songs like iron man and paranoid, but Pink Floyd was waaaay more successful. Their albums are some of the top selling albums of all time. I have a soft spot for their song "i wish you were here"

they both fucking rule...but you can't say one is better because the genre's are way off...sabbath influenced a fuck load of metal, floyd influenced a fuck load of crazy bands, and basically any song that goes into a crazy wierd kinda quite interlude...a perfect example being the 3rd track on my dying bride's the angel and the dark river.

Floyd for sure. Sabbath doesn't even compare to Floyd in my opinion.

Um these are from very different genres, other is progressive rock and other is heavy metal. But of course Black Sabbath. Pink Floyd sucks. |
