Changing Bridges
I play metal and I am allways looking to make my sound unique so if I change my bridges in my Jackson K3 to something else will I get a diff. sound. I really don't know much thats why I am asking. To give an idea of what I want I want the sound of Killswitch Engage or As I Lay Dying. Its a heavy sound , but it plays really clean too.

gibson, seymoure duncan, dimarzio, emg are some brands to look into.
just about any high gain pickup will give you a good sound through a decent amp.

My advice:
Dont do anything stupid like do it yourself.
Get the Tone Zone for metal. Dimarzio makes it. FUCKING DO IT!

That or the Seymour Duncan Invaders. Both are good passives.

I don't really see the point in changing your bridge. It won't change your sound.

Thanks so am I just going to have to buy some bridges and try them out. Because half are saying it won't change the sound and some say it will. Keep in mind that these are the original pickups
