Nile fans
Hey whats up, this is my first post on the forums but i have been lurking for quite some time now, finally decided to ask a question.
I'm trying to learn Nile-Wrought, i fuckin love NILE, that tab is awesome, but i was just curious do nile actually have a sitar, or do they use that gay looking pink pedal by danelectro, i heard nothing but bad things about it but i might get one cause sitars sound neat. cool.

Nile does rule. You should learn some stuff from in "In their Darkened Shrines" like "Execration Text" which was written by Dallas Toler-Wade(awesome guitarist).Theres some use of exotic scales in the shredding parts that just rip.

Dallas Toler-Wade is indeed a great guitarist. I doubt they really do use a sitar though.

I'm guessing that during the recording of their albums that they do use the authentic middle eastern instruments as they are always listed as being played by guys from Egypt or that area. Check out the booklet to Black Seeds Of Vengeance for what I'm going on about.
Live, I'm pretty sure that any parts with exotic instruments are either dubbed over (Karl is always clicking at his laptop to initiate keyboard parts, etc) or just played on the guitar. When I saw them they didn't play any songs with exotic instruments in them though.
Oh, and Dallas is fucking brilliant. He does most, if not all, of the sweeping parts in their solos and I love the short, straight to the point songs that he writes.

it woudln't be crushing death metal if it wasn't tuned low, trust me i usually play everything in standard tuning just cuz i'm lazy, even niles riffs sound like they could be on the radio in satndard. Holy shit man your in Lethbridge i'm in Red Deer.

Pretty sure he uses something like that, I've got numerous Nile bootlegs. He has some sorta pedal for the synth parts too, like at the end of "Black Seeds of Vengeance". I thought he was just tapping his foot at first, but no.
