They use 5150's and ESP guitars with DR strings. And yes Chocolate Pudding is very good..

They use EMG pickups (i'm pretty sure 81s). Jesper has switched to the 5150 II while Bjorn still plays the 5150. For the last couple albums, they've been playing Gibsons (Jesper a Voodoo V and Bjorn a standard Les Paul and a Custom Les Paul), though they did play ESPs before that (Jesper a Custom EX and Bjorn a Custom Eclipse). Bjorn also plays around a lot with an old POD. They generally play Marshall cabs, but i've seen them play with Peavey and Mesa cabs too. They play DR strings and this is a vital element to their sound, because they play 13-60. Good thick strings for good thick tone.

the cheapest way to get their sound would be to buy a LTD guitar with EMG 81/60 pickups and a 5150 head, or buy the pickups and put them on your guitar

i have used and abused..

i really really like jespers dound using that xplorer..

especially in songs like moonshield and atrifacts of the black rain...

is he getting a different sound because of the different pickup, or is it mostly because he's using a 5150 Ihead while bjorn is using a II..bjorns sound seems more lead orientated

to add one thing, no pedal can get u near a bands sound, unless they used thet pedal for a live show, wich they probaly didnt, but studio sound (what u hear on the album) is verry hard to get, even with the same gear, since there somany sound factors in a studio, noise gates, fx, eq etcetc.
