hey just ask if anyone knows if they are no more longer a group or what,they are really one of the most bizarre ,original ,intense ,effusive,fresh,technical "black" metal that i listened ,
this group is quality at 100% !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i recomend every fucker that likes extreme music with class listen their last cd "666 international" an album to psicotic minds...
otherwise tell me if u know other band who are similar to dodheimsgard(i dont believe there are other such great)

They are still going. They are known as "DHG" now, and they regrouped in 2002 with a whole new lineup.

I heard their new album called Satan Mongo Berzerker
was going to come out before summer.
All their albums are good but 666 International is a masterpiece!

Their look(especially Fixit's,who is I think Vicotnik) is
inspired by some comic book I think.
Someone from the greek metal hammer
who heard some rehearsal tapes from the new material
said that it had some of the most original
guitar playing he had heard.

i recently discover thorns ,yes ,great ,some original touches and some dodheimsgard atmosphere...a pity they have only a cd..
and khold some black with satyricon influences but without the fast parts
i still looking for real black metal stuff

Thorns also have a split with Emperor called Thorns vs Emperor and
an old tape (around 1992 I think) called Grymyrk .
Another innovative band was Mysticum but you'll
probably know them.

An update(I don't think anyone will care but anyway)
Aldrahn left the band and is replaced by Kvohst (vocals/ex-member of VOID/current member of <CODE>).
Also there is a new guitar player and a bass player.
Fixit is still in the band.

Another thing
About the lyrics in "666 International",
some of the lyrics have to do with
a comic book called "Rogan Gosh:The Star Of
The East"(DC/Vertigo comics)
Fixit was dressed and painted exactly like the
character from the comic in the photo from the album.
The comic has to do with a researcher who tries some
"substances" and then reality and illusions
start to mix(there must be a connection
with "Traces Of Reality").
