Transtube.....?
Well I just found out "transtube" is not actually "tube".
So what does it do model the style of a "tube" ?
If so how good are these ? The one I am looking at is "PEAVEY XXL"
I am in a alternative band at the moment and trying to form a metal band.
We play silverchair, STP, and such. 
If this "XXL" is good enough or not please give opinions. |

Its solid state with "tub technoligy" im not sure what that means but it dosent mean it sounds like a tube amp. The XXL is a pretty good Solid State amp. And BTW silverchair and STP arent metal.... be prepared for flames

well some good non tube peavey buys that i'd suggest are: xxl,supreme xl, and the transtube 100 efx....
you can pick up about any of them for dirt cheap on ebay,and if you got a little more $, i'd also suggest a new or used 5150,xxx, or blue voodoo(crate).

thanks guys, but I do not know about that "xxx" i heard that amp and it sounded like a "nu-metal" amp and I do not want that sound.

i like the 5150's better than the xxx, they have better all around tone for more versitile sounds.
