what ever happened to origin?

i have to say origin is definately in my top five favorite bands and i was kinda shocked to see that they arent doing anything after that DM masterpiece of a last album. last i saw the singer was with vile and john longstreth was with exhumed (unfortunately). i hope someone else shares my dissapointment.....

I'm sure they are writing, and they just finished touring a few mounths ago. They never update their website, so who knows.

I can't wait for something new from Vile either.

Origin found a worthy replacement for Longstreth (I don't know HOW) according to Darko. I can't wait to hear.

Last i saw Jon with skinless (blah), I mean he is a great drummer but no ammount of drumming could save that music. And to you^^^ Derek Roddy is the fucking shit live, cause you can see all the little tricky shit he does but you can't really hear on the cd. I mean this fucker plays beats on top of blast beats, and one footed blasts with a left foot clave` pedal which he switches up with a piccolo snare or these weird thin metal sheets that clank together all crazy sounding. And he didn't even break a sweat playing and hour long H.E. set. He fuckin makes me goddamnit

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it arriving. Probably be about 2-4 weeks though as it's coming from America.

The CD is pretty much John Longstreth. They have some cool riffs and all, but the drums are the main part of it.

Not really. High street stores are too expensive (and also limited in the titles they stock) and at the online stores based in England/Europe there are two possibilities:

1. They offer cheap CD's but limited titles (Earach and Golden Lake are good examples).
2. They offer every CD imaginable but not at the price you want (like Coprodirect).

Sometimes there are sales (I got Dreams of Death and Dismay by Anata for Ł3.50 from Season of Mist's online store and Retch for Ł3 from Golden lake) but I usually miss the offers on titles I want, haha!

you get shafted, we have a metal stores in Melbourne (3 of them) that sell a lot of good cds, at slightly inflated prices, but its no more expensive than ordering shit (due to postage) , they have pretty much everything, its awesome, last time i walked in there was an Aborted CD staring me in the face, tempting me ... and successfully at that

Even with postage, it still works out at around Ł2-3 cheaper to order from America (mainly due to the strength of the Pound against the US Dollar in the last 3 months). Instead of thinking of it as a saving of Pounds, I say to myself that I can afford an extra pint of the golden elixir if I buy a CD from America. That way, the saving per CD sounds very worthwhile indeed!

They are fucking blazing, technicallity the whole album on Informus, and their singers are sick. Their self titled cd its as fast but still sick.
