witch recording software can do this?

I seen so many pedals witch can record 6-10 seconds riff or song, and then you can slow it down with out changing the pitch.

So there must be a recording program or sound editing program that can do the same thing.

Sony Sound Forge can do it, I'm sure some others can as well.

There are winamp plugins that you can adjust speed, tempo and pitch in. However, I tried one and it was buggy, or maybe that was my slow-ass computer. But basically you just record a wav or mp3 off a CD, either rip it or record it in sound recorder or something, then use the plugin through winamp.

I've heard better programs with better anti-aliasing filters (remove the echo artefacts from the slowed down sound), but I don't know what they were.

I have now tryed Sound Forge and Cool Edit, but it sound like crap when you alter the tempo.

And it cant be my comp, cause it is a pentium 4 3000 Ghz, but it couldt be the soundcard.

But i will just have to tweak with the settings some more, maybe it will work and sound good in the end.

I use my gfx-5 to slow down stuff, but at 1/4 of the speed, it sounds all echoey and jittery, so its useless. Its a sampling rate problem or something to do with Nyquist theorem; thats why you get aliasing and all those artefacts. But I know there are better computer programs out there, so I would be interested to know what they are as well.

if you slow down audio, its the same as video, your gonna have frames and skipping. all those programs do is blend the gaps you create when slowing it down. have you tried looking in harmony-central.com 's software page? Lots of good stuff.
