dimarzio's highest output pickup
i thought chuck used Emgs? Anyhoo, if you like the sound go for it
it looks ugly, but that doesn't matter much
EMGs being better is subjective. The X2N and an EMG pickups both have their disadvantages and advantages. EMGs are quieter, and are widely accepted for being good in metal. But with the Dimarzio you can do the coil splitting position 2,4 stuff for the stratty sounds, which you can't do with an EMG. So if you use position 2 and 4 alot, that's something you might want to consider. It all comes down to the sound though and what YOU think.
You can easily try EMGs at a good guitar store
the Dimarzio X2N might be harder to try out though. You could buy it though, and always sell it back if you don't like it.
