Gorguts
anyone like Gorguts? theyre in my top 5 bands of all time, The Erosion of Sanity is brilliant, and Obscura turned the metal world on its head
Deron Miller of CKY wrote the liner notes for another one of thoose "two from the vaults" reissues by Roadrunnner Records
it'll have the LONG OUT OF PRINT and VERY EXPENSIVE albums "the erosion of sanity" and "considered dead".
that's definately a must buy
thoughts on them?

Yeah, Gorguts also place in my top 10. I prefer their latest albums, but "Erosion" and "Considered" are also very good : they're just more "common" if I can say, less experimental, although really well done. Well, for the time, it was extraordinary.
I'd like to see them release some new stuff, but they probably won't... in fact I have no idea.
I won't buy the reissue because I already own both albums. I'll reconsider it maybe if there is something special included (video, bonus tracks, nice biography or something...).

The older albums weren't boring at the time they were released, but they may seem "overrated" now with the emergence of all these ultra technical bands.
I guess they replaced the old drummer... hasn't he committed suicide right after Obscura ?
What is strange is, on that album, there is a song called "La vie est prélude, et la mort orgasme" which litteraly means "Life is prelude, death is orgasm"...
