Now you can change the colour scheme using the list box on the bottom of each page. At the moment there're only two schemes: MetalTabs 'proud green' and standard vBulletin scheme. More colours might be added in the future depending on your feedback.

I plan to apply this scheme chooser to the entire website, expect this later this month or in May.

I think this is a nice addition to the site! That white looks soooo weird though!
A good color scheme would be to have a main black background but all the lettering and such would be the color of the green borders that are currently on the site. but keep the orange sections that are there now. That would look pretty nice, i think

The green scheme is going to be default for quite awhile, white one is for people who have problems reading on the dark background.

Other colour schemes are in my TODO list, but with very low priority.

Ok, I think I fixed the problem, so try and download it again, but both the theme and the file must be located in your computers theme file at the same time for it to work. Exstract all files to where you keep your themes, inter you theme manager after that and select metaltabs. Please let me know it that works.

I don't think I've used a theme since Windows 95. I'll check it out later, anyways.

I've had problems viewing some other sites myself. I fixed it by goting to IE tools, Internet options, general, colors, unclick "use windows color", and then customize text and background to something that can be seen on other sites.
After that it's just about perfect

I never noticed this thread before and given the recent discussion in the RTT about the fact that I'm the bestest member here because I use the white forum skin I thought I'd bump the fuck out of this bitch in the hopes of getting one or two new skins to try. Are you still up for installing some new ones, nomad?

Unlike the rest of these whiny little sex offenders I don't fear change, and in fact embrace it because I'm a fuckin' renaissance man. New forum skins are the spice of life, along with porn and public masturbation. Maybe in order to quell the jittery autistic anxieties of the "MT wouldn't be MT without greenness" clan you could install a new green skin which has a slightly less abrasive contrast between the post backgrounds and the text.

Obviously I'm not suggesting that the default green colour scheme should be deleted, although if you could delete it on my behalf out of sheer spite that'd be just swell.

It might be a lot of work just so the one autistic kid on here doesn't have a temper-tantrum every time someone mocks his beloved pearly-white semen-stained MT.

Fuckin' crazy that someone cares that much about the colour scheme and graphics on a forum that they'd part with a full day's wage to have something that looks a bit different.

I think there are add-ons for Firefox which let you dynamically alter the CSS of a website so you can pretty much redesign it to your liking "on the fly". I may look into that shit. Then again I probably won't because it sounds like a lot of hard work.

If nothing else, you could always rewrite the CSS file in the installation package; plus I think you can fiddle around with most of the colour settings in a given style from the CP. But why would we? This is the best of all possible worlds.

I used to be on a 60's site that had the pink, green, yellow popart skin and it was horrific trying to read on it. I don't remember the letter color it was so long ago.
Other sites bother my eyes and I have the brightness turned way back on my 'puter. MT with the green and TC (RIP almost) with the blue are the easiest on my eyes personally.
