Thats definetely a guitar I would have on display. I probably wouldn't even play it...ok maybe at a time or two here and there. It would be fuckin cool to play it live.. Nice, sleek designs on it. I know its a heavy fucker..lol..
All in all though, I wouldn't probably toy around with it....

For $800 its a great deal. And why would it sound like shit? Its a solid body mahogony - neck through. Those holes wont affect sound that much, just look at a jem with the monkey grip. But the single 85 in the bridge sucks, i ratehr have a 81 in the bridge, WHERE ITS MEANT TO BE. but i would never buy it without playing it.

it says it was made in H.R. Giger style. I disagree. H.R. Giger art looks better than that.
For anybody that doesn't know who he is, he is the guy that designed the Alien for 'Alien' the movie. He didn't have any direct input on the rest of the series. They just kinda took his idea and adjusted it for the other movies.

Guitars like this are usually shit. It doesnt even look cool, its just so fuckin tacky. Especially if its 800 bucks then u are guaranteed a shitty sounding guitar. It might be good for some guy who loves dying fetus and skins cats in his pasttime but other then that noooooooooooooo

It's kind of odd to go to a forum looking for some Tabs and coming across a discussion of a guitar you built.
In case you're wondering:
It plays great.
It is, after all, just a neck through guitar that's been heavily carved. It's better than a skull-pile paint job or some cheap ass vinyl stickers. Oh, and yeah, I always thought guitars like that were a bit much, but I got tired of building PRS looking things, or guitars that are just a pile of exotic hardwood laminated together sideways. Besides, they sell well and they're good advertising. Aside from that, the difference between being cool or being gay is very much in your perspective, and also what your friends say. I actually took the Reaver guitar in question around to the local guitar shops and woodworking places, and everyone from the pierced teenagers you'd expect to like it to this old black guy down at Big Dude's music city approved highly of it. You can play blues on it, quite well too, but it looks really silly when you do so. It was sold to a guy in the Netherlands, and he ended up paying over $1100 with shipping, he seemed to approve as well.
Anyways, at least it's not a penis guitar. Someone asked me to build one of those once, so it's not that original an idea. I told him that in his case a soprano ukelele would be more appropriate.
Sadly that is true.

Well...
I tend to avoid the online world, save for my website itself, 'cuz I end up talking to people on bulletin boards and sitting up 'til 1:00 am waiting to see thier reply, and then I don't get anything done, which is why I didn't build much of anything from 1999 to 2001.

im getting a DXMG Dinky for 700$ Canadian! besides, the price has nothing to do with the way a guitar sounds... and you can take almost any guitar, put EMGs in it and youve got one hell of a machine... hurray for active PUs!
overall, ya i like them, most of them look cool and the guy sounds like he knows what hes talking about... id buy one for 800$
