Needed help!!!!!!!!!

Ok! here it goes

I recently bought for myself a Marshall AVT275 (Valvestate 2000)....
But when i went through different posts in the forum i found a common thing .....everyone is saying that AVT series sucks big time!!!!

I haven't had the chance of going through other amps ( if u know from which part of the world i come from) but isn't there anyone who can help me in getting an ass-kicking tone with a combination of the amp i own and the evergreen Boss Metal zone??? please help me out (Actually the settings prescribed in the manual are infact to some extent fine sounding but if anything could make it better i would love it even more)

Anyone who can help me out with the technical shit???? Preamp, power amp and everything............

marshall hasnt really perfected the whole valve thing yet..... the mode4 is the only good one imo, but for the price of the m4, you could buy an all tube jcm that has way better tone.

i personally like the mg series better than the avt shit. and i thats not saying much because the mg series isnt so hot either.

but just because me and about a dozen other people on these forums don't like the avt's doesnt mean you shouldnt either. if you are content with your tone... go for it. but if YOU don't like the sounds you're getting... then i'd just tell you to trade it in or something.

One method you might try is to set the metal zone flat (no boost or cut in the eq), then adjust the tone one the amp. This may not work because the reason most people don't like the AVTs is there lack of tone control. The way I would probably run it is to set up the clean channel with a good clean tone, then kick in the pedal and adjust it to taste. Generally speaking, assuming that you don't know, set the level to give a slight boost when it kicks in to create a dynamic effect when going from clean to heavy. Plus you don't want to overload the the front end of the amp and create unnecessary distortion, the pedal creates enough on its own. Try to eq as little as possible. It doesn't sound as good as you think to have an exagerrated tone. When you start playing with other people, you'll find that too much bass in your rig covers up the bass player, and it will start a volume war and you'll all be going home from practice with ringing in your ears. Same thing with too much highs, you can kill everybody's ears all by yourself. The mid freq is the best place to get your tone, start there and then adjust the bass and highs to compensate for deficiencies.

the mode four is marshall's newest head. it has a 350w s.s. poweramp section and then it has a tube preamp with like two clean channels and then two o.d. channels. the cleans are suprisingly good because with 350w, you have a ton of headroom and your cleans wont clip out, get muddy, or break up.
it all sounds really good compared to the mg and avt amps, but then when you look at the price tag on it($1200 u.s.) you might as well buy a jcm 2000 or something and get an even better tone.
