but they're cheap so they're a pretty good deal if you look at the price/value ratio

Yea, same as Def said. They aren't known for anything in particular. They do tend to make EVERYTHING however. From amps to microphones, preamps, among other stuff. If your happy with it, then cool. Otherwise maybe you should have shopped around a bit more.

Our singer uses a Behringer B300 (or something) 300 watt monitor on rehearsals... Pretty ok.
It sounds cool with a bassguitar plugged directly into it...

I have been thinking about getting one of their 4/12 cabs for $ 250. Does anybody have one? If so how good are they?

I get better sound out of a metal zone with a headphone plugged in... Yhe so i think behringers suck. A metalzone is also cheaper than a behringer

I use their BG412S http://www.music123.com/Behringer-U...4.music?match=1 and it's excellent. It's extremely nice quality for what you pay for it. The construction is nice and the wiring is excellent. There isn't anything better in the bang for your buck department than that cab. I can't vouch for their combo's because I've never used one but I would recommend this cab ANY day.

personally, I would suggest looking for a used cab somewhere first, I am picking up a fender 4/12 for like 250-300 in the next week, so shop around, but if you want new and CHEAP price go for it, take your head to see how it sounds, always see if YOU like the sound of it, never trust anyone elses opinions on it.
I use a Behringer Vamp for my preamp and I love it, I tried a Line 6 out and it sucked, I couldnt use the thing without a manual and still I couldnt figure it out, Behringer is very user friendly, but low quality, they are still worth having if you want that, but again its all a personal preference, if you like it, get it, dont take someones advice on it...
my 2 cents...
