You should post the tab for those songs, you'd make a lot of people happy.

Speaking of Emperor, I reckon Cosmic Keys To My Creation And Times is quite fun to play. I don't think I've seen it anywhere, but I play the chorus like this:
Code:
|------------------|------------------|
|------------------|------------------|
|------------------|------------------|
|-2222222244444444-|-5555555555555555-|
|-0000000022222222-|-3333333333333333-|
|------------------|------------------|
|------------------|------------------|
|------------------|------------------|
|------------------|------------------|
|-2222222233333333-|-5555555555555555-|
|-3333333355555555-|-7777777777777777-|
|------------------|------------------|
I'm not sure that it follows the guitar exactly (I'm not that much of an Emperor fan) but it follows the overall theme better in my opinion.

Other then that....
Any Dimmu Borgir is fun to play. Even if the Enthroned Darkness Triumphant years were the best, the new albums still provide a load of killer riffs

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned seek and destroy, thats good fun - although It drags on a bit.
Slayer - crypts of eternity has a really nice beakdown, and 'at dawn they sleep'.
Megadeth - tornado of souls - the riffs a bit on the cheesy side but its cool.
also that riff in the breakdown of angel of death (you must know the one i mean) makes me cream my fucking pants, its incredible

-Slayer: Raining Blood, Expendible youth, Skelitons of society, Jesus saves
-Pantera: Walk, Mouth for war, Cemitary gates, FUCKING HOSTAL!!!
-Vanhalen: Eruption
-AC-DC: Back in Black (this one takes the cake... fun as hell to play)
-Rush: YYZ
-LedZeppelin: Black mountain side, Babe im gonna leave you, Over the hills and far away, Stairway to heaven, Bron-Yr-Aur(the one on pysical graffiti)
-Joe Saturoni: Surfing with the Alien, Midnight
-Malesteen- hell dont know any "songs" of his in particular but i use bits and pieces of his solos.
-Michal Angelo Batio: hmm let me see... damn some day... someday...
-Hendrix: Vodoo Chile, Purple Haze, and of course hendrix style star spankled banner
-Steve Vai: no wait none of his stuff is fun to play, because it sounds like crap...
-Soloing: more fun then any of these is random soloing, the only time im truly free from all the burdens of my crapy life.
Easy: most of the above
Awsome: all of the above (why the fuck would i be playing it if it wasnt awsome?)

Hehehe... I'll play Iron Maiden all day long if I'm bored. Some of my favorite warm-up songs are-
Cannibal Corpse- Living Dissection
Cannibal Corpse- Hammer Smashed Face
Iron Maiden- Murders in the Rue Morgue
Morbid Angel- Brainstorm
Morbid Angel- Fall From Grace
Various Metallica and other easy thrash also make great warm-up songs or are just great to fuck around with while you are bored. Does anybody else ever alter the way a song is really played just to entertain yourself? I do...

Yeah, i like to do that. I've added a lead to a few songs just to see if it would sound cool. Its really fun doing that cause sometimes it sounds good and you can make a song even better than it already is.
The songs i enjoy playing the most are:
Awesome:
mithotyn-shadows of the past, king of the distant forest, hail me, embraced by frost, the old rover... and more to come
deicide-serpants of the light
god dethroned-the iconoclast deathride
fun/easy:
COF:funeral in carpathia, cthulu dawn (i like their guitar...)
fear factory: ressurection
i usually dont play a whole song, but for those i do.

yah, that pentatonic/blues type scale is a pretty common one, paul gilbert uses it a lot. it's nothing too new to the ears, but it's a lot of fun to play imo.

Pleasure To Kill, so damn, damn fast. I play the intro like:
----------------------------------------------------------- --4-4-4-5-4---
---------------------6h7-----4h5-----------------------------2-2-2-3-2-5-
--0000-0000-0000-0-----000-----0000-0000-0000-0000-0000------------3-
Right? Wrong?
My new favorite song- Metal Storm/Face the Slayer
