Hail Bass Brethren,
Nice to see that there is a somewhat active online home for metal bass players... I suppose an introduction is in order:
I live in the north country of the US, home of too few metalheads though we are present. Unfortunately, so is Nu-Metal's influence so finding the right players can be a bit of a bitch. I'm a recent convert to bass, having played guitar for fifteen years previous.
I guess that I would classify my stylistic tendencies as being somewhat mixed between thrash, death, black, and classic metal. I have quite a bit of prog thrown in as I spent (possibly) too many years playing in that style on guitar.
For those interested, I play a 1982 Koa Mockingbird through a Mesa Walkabout into an Ashdown ABM-BP1510 (two 10s, one 15, one horn).
That's enough about me...
