Quake Fucking Live(Free-runs through browser)
Quake Live is basically a web browser ran port of Quake 3 Arena. Does it get any better? Yes it does. QL offers character statistics, friendslist, and dedicated servers free of lag. If you're a fan of ID soft you've gotta check this out. It's still in an open beta but I haven't noticed anything wrong.

I've no idea to be honest haha, but apparently that's what Quake Live is. It's some sort of streaming technology, but that's as much as I know about it. I think there are similar things happening with consoles, where you can play Xbox games on your TV with just a little internet-enabled streaming box thingy, circumventing the need for an actual console.
Someone else (possibly Requiem) posted a thread ages ago about multiplayer 2D fighter/shooter games that can be played through your browser; games from the SNES and similar consoles. This is probably just a more advanced version of that technology.

Well, the machine gun is the worst weapon. When you're playing FFA just pull out your gaunlet by pressing "1".
I'm not very good either. There are some noob guides in the forum that could help a bit. It's good to see the MT community enjoys Quake.  Also, I've noticed that currently the friends list page doesn't work. When the person you've added comes online it will show them in the side friend panel thing.
Lets try to arrange a group gaming session soon. Post your times and lets see what we can do.

Yeah, my k/d ratio was like .33 for the first week. Now it's like .86-.90. I haven't been playing as much lately. Picked up Python programing again(learning) and house cleaning.lol If you wanna arrange some games lemme know.

I've only been playing practise games lately, trying to bump my skills up from "cunt" to "cuntish". I've found that the one-shot weapon (I don't know the name of it) is my favourite, followed by the rocket launcher and the crab-infested dildo.
I've gotten quite a few gauntlet humiliations, although in practise games that probably doesn't mean a hell of a lot |

Man yesterday I got one of my best rounds ever! 4 gauntles humiliation and only 9 deaths with 11 kills
And this one shot one kill weapon is the railgun
