Muspy :: grand re-opening!
As promised I revamped www.muspy.com
Those of you with active accounts will receive an e-mail within the next hour or two with your new login details. Others can already register and play with the website.
There are many improvements, most notable is an option to receive e-mail notifications when there is a new release.
Please comment in this thread or here, I will appreciate any feedback.

Good looking site. Did you design it yourself?

The email notification thing is really cool! But would it be possible, to turn out everything but albums when looking through the releases list. And maybe there is a way, that albums get listet only one time, even if they are released on different days in different countries.
Anyway: cool side, thanks a lot for it!

That's normally the case (see the attachment). The album can be shown multiple times if the list of tracks is different in each release, or if it's a different release media (e.g. CD vs Vinyl)
Which band/album are you talking about? I can have a look...

Ah, ok, than it was shown multiple times because of this. I do see the sense behind this, but it's a bit annoying as well, so if it's not to much work, it would be cool to be able to turn than off if wanted. But it's not too important of course

The new site is great; loading up the releases page is instantaneous, whereas before it took about 2 or 3 minutes. The layout/look is much better, too! I think the simplicity of the whole affair is well-advised; no padding/filler to make the site appear to be "meatier" than necessary. And thank fuck there's no Flash in sight!
I'm liking the email notifications as well, very handy. I always thought it'd be great to have something similar with MetalTabs for the latest batch of tabs accepted/updated.
Great work, and a great idea I hope it kicks off for you, I imagine it'll be a nice little earner.
Cheers!

I tried on different browsers and it works for me. Could you post a screen-shot? Which browser and OS do you have? Did you try clearing your cookies?

I'd like to see the site introduce the ability to also gather additional information from the bands like new tour dates, blog posts, news, etc. and the user having the option to select what he wants to be notified about. People spend a looot of time trying to keep up with all that shit!

Release dates:
2009-02-20: DE [SPV]
2009-02-23: Europe
2009-03-02: US
|
wouldn't it be better, to get the notification the day the album gets released or maybe one or two days earlier. 2 months seems like too early for me, as i'm afraid, I'll forget about it again until then

That's what those little stars are there for. Just leave the album starred and it will always be on top of the others.
