If you can say I can't say they weren't breaking any laws then you can't turn around and say that they were by "resisting arrest" (the running around in the streets on the other hand is clear). and I do agree that the camera guy was a bit too quick to act all victimized and yell out cops' names and stuff. But you're right, the video is all we have to judge from and I admit, I was overreacting. so I guess I just displaced my anger onto the wrong video because that one surely doesn't appear to be the most representative of police brutality.

I will say, however, that this is where you start to babble. It probably was covered on NYC news stations at some point, that is if any actual news stations got the word in time to get a crew down there and/or the protest was widely enough promoted beforehand. The reason i brought up the monks is the fact that the camera guy is shouting it out. "You're beating tibet monks in front of the UN." I'm not attacking what you said rather the haziness of the video and me being skeptical of taking everything word for word.

The reason i mention international attention is whats going on now in Tibet and China. Beating Tibet monks who are protesting at the UN would be an extremely big deal. (edit: After verifying from the video thats exactly what this video is about. March 14th)

By going on the video you can see the guy resisting arrest. I was commenting on the fact that before the video even starts they could have been breaking laws, maybe they needed a permit to protest how they were (which maybe they didn't have one), maybe they were shouting obscenities or other things to merit removal of the right to peacefully and constructively conduct a protest.

From the video you can see them running in the streets and later it APPEARS anyways they are resisting arrest, hence why they strike him with a club while hes on the ground. What other reason would they have to do that? Also if the cops were just going nuts and hitting "random" protestors why not the camera man? I mean.. they didn't hit him cause he probably wasn't doing anything illegal. Most might say well he had a video camera so it would document them illegally detaining him... well couldn't the same be said about the protestors? Maybe he left the video out of them doing whatever they did that warrented police going nuts. I'm not defending the cops, i'm attacking the video.

Well it depends you can get a pretty good intermediate/advanced student yamaha sax for around 500 bucks on ebay used. I'm going to get a tenor here pretty soon.

Buying a sax new is a whole different ball park. they're expensive as shit. But you can ebay a really good one for like 1200-1500 bucks.
