Yes, they are in my top 20 favourite bands. Romeo is one of my favourite guitarists.
Roll on the release of the new album.

What's your favourite album? Mine is a tough choice between V and Divine Wings.

Fuck...
I don't think I can pick a favourite!!!
My favourite 3 songs are on 'Twilight..', the first 2 albums aren't so great (especially because of the singer on the first one )
Divine Wings, V, The Odyssey are just fantastic albums, too close to call for me!!!

Like the vocals or not, they do fit the music well.

All of it!
Tracks - In The Dragon's Den, The Relic, Smoke and Mirrors, and any songs from the albums Divine Wings of Tragedy, V, The Odyssey should just about cover it

I've seen them live twice, and they're great there and in studio.
While "The Odyssey" is my favorite album, I didn't love the title track. The beginning and end are really good.
As for recommendations:
Church of the Machine
Smoke and Mirrors
Accolade I and II
Inferno (Unleash the Fire)
Of Sins and Shadows
Incantations of the Apprentice (WAY Underrated)

Romeo is just incredible...well, sort of. amazing to listen to, bitch to play too. hes a lil too random and stuff
but yeah, only have their V album, and love it to bits! its a pitty that the band is not as popular as they SHOULD be. i mean, everytime anyone says 'yo, you heard of Symphony X?' everyone automatically says 'oh, you mean Dream Theater wanna be?'
or atleas the people ive aproached. but fuck them. dream theater, to me, sounds too similar. all their stuff is similar. symphony x isnt....
though, i think Symphony X should work on their vocals when recording. i like the vocals, and they fit perfectly to the song, but perhaps the vocals should be a lil higher coz all the distortion eats away on the vocals. and at times, its really hard to hear him

^ You're basing your opinions on only one album. From what little i've heard of DT, i'd say their stuff contains more variety than Symphony X who haven't changed that much between albums. Also, the vocals are crystal clear.

i have heard majority of their albums from intro to outro. i just own V. the others are either too expensive, or hard to find. and i dont really like burning stuff...
but dream theater stuff i find more boring. after a while thei stuff just starts getting...idk. dont get me wrong, DT is amazing. but perhaps i over played em or soemthing. but i still see symphony x as a bit more superior than DT
