Mikael's growls are definitely my favorite because they never overshadow the music. When I first heard about Opeth about 3 years ago and how the singer could growl and sing I figured that he probably was good at one and maybe not so good at the other. Well, I was wrong.  |

I think his growls with Bloodbath were weaker than even Orchid and Morningrise. Peter was a better vocalist for Bloodbath, and he is nothing in vocal comparison.

I think mike was better and i think his bloodbath vocals were brutal as fuck.

Yeah those Bloodbath vocals were pretty impressive. The ones for Katatonia aren't really anything to talk about though.
I think his clean vocals are getting alot better than his growl. On Ghost Reveries I actually like hearing him sing better.

I think his growls on Katatonia Brave Murder Day are some of his best, but generally, I think his clean singing voice is better.
