Sing to Me
This took about 10 minutes to write. I sat playing a guitar and rested it upright on my lap to type with my arms around it and that was the inspiration. I was mentioning to Dutch that I needed another verse and reached a deadend. I talked about Beethoven's obsession and that triggered the needed verse. Funny how that happens sometimes. Thanks for reading. walpurgis has implanted in my brain to tune the Hawaiian guitar before he gets home so I've been thinking blues style. This is just good ole Slowhand blues.
"Sing to Me" -A tribute to guitar
My head rests against your neck
And my arms hold you tight
As we sway together gently
Before first morning light
You've been my constant obsession
Even when I put you down
Somehow I always knew that
All my life you'd be around
Sing to me, baby
Sing to me
Soothe the worries of my soul
Ah, sing to me, baby
Sing to me
Let those yesterday unfold
All the tears and all the happiness
That we have felt together for so many years
Ah, sing to me
Yeah, sing to me
You were always beside me
Always knew just what to do
I don't know what my life would have been
If I'd lived it without you
We been through some good times
We been through times that made us cry
And I'm sure there'll be more of both
Before this old body dies
But til then
Sing to me, baby
Sing to me
Soothe the worries of my soul
Ah, sing to me, baby
Sing to me
Let those yesterday unfold
All the tears and all the happiness
That we have felt together for so many years
Ah, sing to me
Yeah, sing to me

You've been to the lyric forum so about your last 2 statements--go make up some music to this. http://metaltabs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24402
There were 2 goth kids at church this morning! How about them apples! Not real overboard goth, but the black pants and chains thing and they were anything but depressed. It was pretty cool.

What, do you mean I should make a melody based on a couple of academia posts? SHEIT, not even I would do that to an instrument...
But anyway, if you are interested in my spontaneous reaction, I feel this is some kind of intimate ballad with a single instrument and maybe a couple of thousand lighter waving fans.

Why not?
Although I must say your posts that I have seen doesn't mark you as all that easily confused.
Anyway, I did like the lyrics, fairly simple but pleasant. And of course as a muscian - or aspiring muscian at least - a love song that might also be directed to an instrument, well, that's a glitter in the corner of my eye. If you like, I wouldn't mind spending a few hours to come up with some sort of melody suggestion.

Go for it. If you can post it or let me hear it somehow that would be cool. If you make a million on it I want a cut and credit for lyrics. I'm easy to get along with.

Oh, but I'm not suggesting that I should publish the thing. I was just thinking of making a suggestion.
Shit, two songs to write and show someone... hey, my spare time is beginning to look quite attractive.

That's all well and good, but you never know when something might happen. I mention it anyways just in case.
