If any of you remember this, I'm working on it again. I've decided I have lots of goodies to share, that are extremely rare/hard to find. And I'm sure some of you out there have some files that others want.

At one point, I think we had over 6 GB on there. But if you remember, some fucker had to ruin the fun by deleting shit. I will take the appropriate measures to prevent this from happening. The server is connected via OC256 (the fastest connection available to man - measuring in at an alarming 13.261 gigabytes per SECOND) so you broadband whores won't need to worry about getting a slow transfer rate.

As per usual, you will have to go through me to get a username/password. I will not be giving these out to anyone. Only regular forum members will receive one.

This should be up and running within the week - depending. Maybe 2, or 3. Anyway -- Yay, or nay?

alright, one of the main problems with the last one also revolved around peoples inability to correctly use FTP, anybody who is not VERRY familiar with this should say so here, and if there is a few people who dont know what they are doing i can wrte a document with instructions, screen dumps, etc. That way, we will be less liekly to have people fucking it up.

Two things:

1. You could create one writable folder for upload. Once an album is uploaded the FTP admin(s) could move it to the read-only folder. This will prevent from random file deletion.

2. It would be great if bands are sorted by genre. Nothing sophisticated, as it's often dubious, just some 5-10 categories: Death/Black/Doom/Thrash/etc...

Even though I won't be able to use it because I'm a n00b I would suggest SmartFTP. Its free and works great, never gives me any trouble, just simply drag and drop(most idiots could handle it).
