On another note, if you want to do the squeals you hear Dimebag do in between
verse and chorus parts, you will need a floating Floyd Rose (or licensed) bridge
system. Hook your thumb over the top of the neck and mute the two lowest strings
so they don't make any noise. Do the same with your index finger and the higher
strings. Now, using the whammy bar, drop the strings so they are real loose.
Flick one of the two middle strings with your middle finger and then quickly
touch an area of the string where a natural harmonic is found (the chimey
sounding ones where you don't have to press the string down to get a sound.
Got it?) This all sounds pretty involved, but it's not so bad. A) Drop strings
B) Flick a string then touch it above the 4th, 5th, or whatever fret (etc) and
C) let up on the whammy bar so the note 'screams' up to its original pitch. I
haven't taken the time to figure out what note Dime hits during this song, but
if you can figure out this cool trick, it shouldn't take you long. Remember the
slower you go the faster you'll get it down.
