Before you start reading this tablature, I´d like you to read these paragraphs
first. Symphony X is a very techinical band, therefore you really must pay
attention to the song and the tablature.
The rythmical structure and the rythmic cells variate
very much since the beginning of the tune. This fact might cause you
a big trouble when you first try to play the song,
so hear it and read this tablature along it. It will help you understand
the song.
The guitar used in this song must be one with humbuckers pick-ups,
the tuning is one step down. You must use 0.11 strings to play it.
The whole song can be played with the body pick-up,
except the last part of the solo in which you must use the neck pick-up.
Don´t forget that there´s a wah pedal in the solo.
The good thing about this tune is that
you don´t need any special guitar to play it,
like a long 24-fret neck or a Floyd Rose system, for example,
just a normal Stratocaster will do it (if you had the humbuckers of course)
the bad thing is that the solo is a real fucking one,
and will take you a couple of months to play, but here´s some good news,
I can play it!!!!
The configuration of the amplifier is the following:
Gain 9, Bass 7, Middle 4, Treble 6, Volume 5, Reverb 4 and Presence 7.
