So check it out. I find it is pretty close to the original (exept for the solo which I didn't tab). . - palm mute / - slide up to \ - slide down to ~ - vibrato h - hammer on b - Bend p - pull off Suffixes for bend t - tap f - full bend h - half bend ph - pinched harmonic q - quarter bend t - tap bend * - see comment ^ - Hold bend r release bend x - Stuccatto ~ - vibrato bend p2r1 pre-bend and release , - slight palm mute () - ghost note, sustained note " - tremolo note <> - Trill Tuning: Bb Intro Riff 1 |----------------------------------------------------| |----------------------------------------------------| |----------------------------------------------------| |----------------------------------------------------| 1 guitar |-4-5-4-3-------------4-5-4-3------------------------| |-2-3-2-111111111111--2-3-2-111111111111-------------| Intro Riff 1* |----------------------------------------------------| |----------------------------------------------------| |----------------------------------------------------| |---------------------------------\5-----------------| both guitars |-4-5-4-3-------------4-5-4-3-----\3-----------------| |-2-3-2-1-------------2-3-2-1------------------------| Introductory Verse Riff 2* |----------------------------------------------------| |----------------------------------------------------| |----------------------------------------------------| |-------------------------------------------4\7------| guitar 1 |-------------------------------------------2\5------| |-2"3"2"111111111111--2"3"2"111111111111-------------| |----------------------------------------------------| |----------------------------------------------------| |-------------------------------------------\9-------| |-------------------------------------------\7-------| guitar 2 |-4"5"4"333333333333--4"5"4"333333333333-------------| |----------------------------------------------------| The 1111's and 3333's are of course tremolo picking too; the notes are however played longer than the previous ones. It's tricky as hell. But who said that playing M A songs is a piece of cake. Trey is a God! Now play Introductory verse riff 2* once And continue playing Verse Riff 2 several times Riff 4 |-----------------------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------------------| |------------4----(b3r2~)-------------4----(b3r2~)----| |-----------------------------------------------------| guitar 1 |-----------------------------------------------------| |-0hp2r1-3------|2"5"6"3"4"|-0hp2r1-3----|2"5"6"5"6"|-| . | guitar 2 | . | guitar 2 | I know the 0hp2r1-3 stuff looks kind of fucked up but I could not figure out a better way to transcribe it. What you have to do is; do a hammer-on on the first fret but don't play a 1 here but simply pre-bend the string (p2) and then release it to a 1 (r1). Then play a palm muted 3. If you do it the right way it should sound quite exactly like the original riff. The stuff in brackets is not to be played the first two times the riff is perfored! Riff 5 Interlude |-----------------------------------------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------------------------------------| |--5----3-3---------------------4---------------------------------------| |--3----1-5--6-5----------7-6---2---------------------------------------| |------------4-3----------5-4-------------------------------------------| |. | | . . | 1st ending 2nd ending Now return to Riff 4 Then play Riff 5 under solo, Play Intro Riff 1 and 1* once Play Verse Riff several times Play Chorus Riff 3 and 3* End the song with the Introductory Verse Riff followed by this: |----------------------------------------------------| |----------------------------------------------------| |----------------------------------------------------| |----------------------------------------------------| guitar 1 |---------------------------5------------------------| |-2"3"2"111111111111--2"3"2"3------------------------| |----------------------------------------------------| |----------------------------------------------------| |----------------------------------------------------| |---------------------------7------------------------| guitar 2 |-4"5"4"333333333333--4"5"4"5------------------------| |----------------------------------------------------| Dive whammy bar on the last chord I didn't transcribe the solo as you see. It is too fucking weird; too much delay and tapping. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoyed this tab! Visit MetalTabs.com for more metal tablature
