Dream Theater "Six Degrees.." - The Glass Prison
I have tried to tab some parts of this awesome album
upon my year and a half of guitar playing (erm... studying!).
I'm not sure of anything, but I think it gives such a good idea
of what is played and how.

john plays this on a 7string, but this sounds pretty close

I play the next part on the low E, using the open string, and frets 2 and 5.
I mute everything, and use alternate-picking. I'll tab the part if needed.
On that part, John plays a sweeping shape in alternate picking and sweeping,
didn't figure it out yet!!
At about 5:53/5:54 there's a heavy riff played,
I think on the open low-B string, just test...
(around 6:30) check the song for the rythm!!
