"Return Trip"
Come My Fanatics...

Truly one of the heaviest songs ever recorded

B F# B E G# c# (drop D down 1&1/2 steps)

I decided to use this tuning since it's easier. I wouldn't
be surprised at all if they actually used a 2.5 step drop
on all strings.

The solos are in the B (D) pentatonic range, and basically
don't leave the area between the 10th and 15th fret.
The power of the solos comes from the whacked out distortion
and effects they put through them.

^ = half step bend | fb = full bend | . = palm mute

Play it super slow.

The trill on 4 there sounds great, and it just barely sounds
like he's actually playing it on record. You decide.

It's a good way to get it with one guitar, but it
doesn't compare to the recording. I have no idea
how they attain this sound. It may be that the bass
is doing wide bends, but the guitars are just hitting
flat power chords. Dropping all strings 2.5 steps may
allow you to oblique bend just the fifths or do something
even crazier. Still, I prefer this way, even if you have
to drop down a full step in position to get those
chromatic notes (again, the trills are implied).
