Why do people insist on pidgeonholing music?
It is usually the fans who try to confine a band into something they want it to always be, then when it changes they whine about it. But the band never claimed to be one particular genre in the first place, it was the fans!!
Incidentally I recently read an interview with Robin from CoF and he stated that they have NEVER been a black metal band and the only similarities he saw was in the make-up.

well i find that bit about the cof laughable...thats like what avril lavine or ravine said... "i never claimed to be punk" haha.
so you never "pidgeonhole music" by saying you listen to death/black metal thrash..whatever??? yea right. its a waste of time to go around and say ...you like that band gorgasm that plays really fast and heavy music with distorted guitars, screaming vocals, and really fast drums?
or what about that band with the really fast evil sounding guitar riffs...fast drums..also screaming vocals..and synthesizers??? they are pretty tight. |
