Its not that much more really. A few extra hundred dollars is worth having a custom made guitar imo. I couldn't find anyone to do it for any cheaper within the US.

I'm not entirely sure if the headstock goes completely with it but it's ok...
However isnt the body like alexi's new ESP's with teh cutout countour on the back???
The wild child was a jackson RR shape.. was it not...
I will get pics up soon...

well I did get some ideas from the SV but dont forget the SV is just a RR with cutouts, the headstock goes perfectly with it, better than having a jackson one like everyone else seems to do.
did you have any problems with yours ozz? what tuning do you play in?

That is a very badass headstock. I need to look for unique shape thats as good as, if not better than the good 'ol jackson to use if I ever get another ran.

In a looong time, I still need to do a lot of thinking. I dont know whether to get a kahler or a TOM bridge. I also need a better amp before I get another guitar, I have 5 electrics right now and I only use 2.5 of them, im gonna try to sell some. The Ran and the ESP I just got are my main everyday use guitars, the others just kinda sit there.

Hi guys! I´m the dude with the Urban Camo KKV.
I got it yesterday.. It´s like a wet dream! I got an US BC Rich KKV Tribe and I can´t feel nor hear any difference between them. The BC Rich is slightly heavier and got slightly thicker neck. But the Ran sounds more. I gonna order a third guitar when I got the cash for ut, same body shape but with Kahler. Got a 7-string Camo KKV coming in in october/november.
Ran sure know how to build guitars!

No, I live in Sweden. So that´s wahy it´s way better to by from Ran Guitars than BC Rich. I can´t feel no difference so why spend shitload of cash when Ran can build me the same guitar?? Order one and get them to send it to a friend in Europe and they can send it to You but with a receipt that say something else...

Yo!
Feels weird to write in english to a swede.. anyways. I don´t really know how much I paid for shipping. Don´t think it was that expenisve. It was including in the price for the beginning. I paid through the internet www.fsb.se that worked out just fine. I would say that everything was smooth, yes. And the guitar is just fokking great! That´s the important thing..
Paycheck arrived yesterday! Sheers dude!

When you buy from Ran, you're buying a HAND MADE guitar, so don't expect a production line price. Depending on your specs, I would say somewhere around 1000 euros. Of course, you could fill out the order form on the Ran site and Dariusz will give you a quote.

itll be more than that, the lowest quote i ever got from dariusz was around 1010 euros and that was for a very bottom of the line guitar, as it goes. bolt on neck etc, so theres no point in getting one

My RANs shipping to Finland cost 30euros. The shipping price is the same to Sverige very likely.

Those are some nice specs but I can tell you that you are going to have to buy the Kahler seperate and mail it to Ran. I don't know if he knows that they are making Kahler bridges again, or at least they weren't when I sent him the one I had, because he asked about where to order them.
Also Dariusz normally replies in about a day.

You could just ask Dariusz. He is an easy dude to work with. I bet he could do it either way you want. Mailing the Pickup to Poland from the US will cost about $15 with all the insurence and tracking included. It might be chaeper if you bought them and mailed them to Ran actually.

it would be a lot cheaper to do it yourself
because you could mark it as a present so they wont have to pay customs and you could chose who ever you want to send the package.
i have never done it, but im sure that will work.

Also Dariusz normally replies in about a day.
|
When I asked about Kahler the first time he said no. It was early this year. Than on the ESP board or the BC Rich forum someone told us that Kahler was back and I told him and showed him the site he said that they could do guitars with Kahlers. I got a mail from him yesterday saying that they could do my next guitar with Kahler and he didn´t say that I needed to buy one myself and sending it to them. I don´t know that for sure yet, ´cause it´s gonna take atleast 3 months before I can order my third guitar from them... But they can do it, if I have to buy the Kahler myself, I´ll just do that and send it to them. I guess it´s the same thing with the pick ups, they can do whatever but in the worst case You have to buy the pick ups or the Kahler.

Hey that's pretty cool. Be sure to post pics of it! Once Dariusz sent out my Ran, it took around 3 days to get to my flat. Dariusz should've given you a tracking number and the website from which to track your parcel.

Yes they will, they made the jackson RR for me. They probably have a template for a warrior, and if not they will get one. They will probably make a guitar in any shape you want, even your own design. That would be way badass if you got a warrior, id imagine you would be the first.
By the way how are you going about the email thing?

Yea I got asked for a jackson headstock also. You can get anything you want, ESP Headstock, Jackson, and the headstock on AOS's got was very badass.
EDIT not ozzuk... AOS

My idea has changed a little bit I'm going to keep the same specs as I listed before...ebony board, no inlays, See through red or maybe black cherry. Instead of the invader body style I'm going to go for this Gary Holt style.

If your getting a trem get a locking nut with m6 tuners.
If your not getting a trem get a graphite (or any other non-locking nut) with the m6 locking tuners.

I dont think he sells the ibanez edge. I would get a kahler. Kahler+custom warrior +jackson headstock=Best 80's style jackson warrior custom ran

What´s the difference between jumbo frets and medium? (I understand that jumbo is bigger than medium, but..) I got medium on my Urban Camo KKV/RDV and it feels great. Usually it´s jumbo frets on metal guitars, why? Anyone know if it´s jumbo or medium frets on the US BC Rich KKVs? I can´t feel any difference between them. I can´t remember if I ordered with medium or jumbo frets on my 7-string guitar from Ran Guitars. Does it really matter? The purpose of my guitars is to play fast. Which should I get? But if I got medium on my KKV/RDV maybe I should stick to that? `Cause I seem to like it... What do You guys think..?

for as far as i know jumbo frets are wider, thicker, so theres is les spower needed to make the string touch the fret, wich, in my case makes me play faster with less effort (faster is with hammers and pulls btw)
but i duno extra jumbo??? i mean, jumbo fretz on a jackson are perf3ct for me, but if extra jumbo is even bigger i dunno, Y doesnt he have just regular jumbo frets??

Yea I got Extra Jumbo on mine and they were big. Fret size is all personal preferance. In my opinion its a huge differance, I didnt like the feel of large frets, I can play much smooter on standard/medium frets. But people like soulinsane love the jumbo. Shit I wish I know what fret size the lutherie reiussued mine to, they were extra jumbo, but now after he re-issued them there quite a bit smaller and feel much better.
