I called the UPS and they didnt fuckin answer so i left a message, i am so fuckin confused right now, WTF!! I already payed 1800.00 fucking dollars for the fucking guitar and that included shipping, how much does it fucking cost to look at a package, they gotta charge me 482 fucking dollars, this is fucking bull shit. I dont even know what to fucking do right now

Alright so i called fuckin UPS and they said the reason why there was a $482 customs charge was because anything coming from another country into the US is gonna be taxed, they said the reason why the tax was that high was because the guitar was worth something like over $5,000, when it was only fucking worth like 1,100 euros, which is like 1,400 american not fucking 5k!! what the fuck there has always gotta be somthing wrong. So anyways, this lady routed my call to some other accountant that was on her lunch break i guess, so i had to leave a message. So now im just waiting for her to call me back.

yea thats what they said, they said it costs, 5,440 polish which
equals out to 5,440 US, which makes no sence at all. I thought the
customs fee was included in the shipping fee. Hopefully stupid
american UPS can learn how to do math and relize that currency
conversion does exist, and that not all currency is the same.

H8, I just just read your e-mail and came here with guns blazing, but too late to help you, sorry. I also hate Customs office, but keep in mind that I have found the shipping company normally at mistake and Customs just reacts to what the info the shipping company tells them. The guitar is worth $5,000 USD no problem, I was just hoping that they didn't have a guitar player there when it came in. You payed what you payed for a guitar made for you new so they can not make it worth more. I'm glad you got it taken care of but Dariusz did give me a discount off shipping cuase I was the first US costom order.... I had no idea, and I payed dearly for it. At least UPS delieved it to the right home. I thought I also told you to expect a tax fee, but I thought they would mail it to you. I'm sorry for the problem you faced today, but I hope your Ran is the guitar you have always dreamed of. I like EMG's best myself but if you want a change then it will not be hard to fix.

The Strap Locks and all the tools came with the guitar, and the cases are really good quality, the paintjob is incredible and the satin finish feels great, i just regret not getting a neck pickup . But that will soon change. And after seeing that guy's Ran custom RR, I started having second thoughts about Ran's RR's, but after seeing yours, that is one sweet RR V. Nice choice goin for the black w/ white bevels and the binding on it makes it look even better. I'm also glad to see that the input is on the upper wing now.

yea i own another pair of emg's on my explorer an 81 and a 60 i love them but i think a jb and a '59 or a jazz would be the best though, i dunno though, after playing it for a while im startin to like the meg sound again.

The guitar costs me around 1080 euros, and the shipping was like 180 euros, then i had to pay 35 bucks to my bank to wire transfer the money to DFX, then i had to pay DFX 35 bucks to convert the money into euros and send it to RAN, and that was all around 1,800. Then when the guitar got here i had to pay a 157.51 dollar tax fee for customs so to be safe lets just say it costs me around $1,960 give or take a little.
EDIT-By the way the schaller strap locks kick ass.

Others will soon know the way to lead others so that I may retire from Ran. I love my Ran but it is still a young guitar making company and needs love and support from the users. Play one and then say they are cheap for a reason? No way. I have heard of reports online that they are knock off's. Well I perfer to think that the customer knows what they want and Ran makes it real.

I'm tryin to save up for one but, I'm gettin kinda worried when I hear about your guitar getting nearly lost with customs and everything. I don't want to have to pay extra on anything just cuz of some idiots. One other thing is that, since they're all the way out in Poland, I just wouldn't want to order a custom and have to wait till it ships to me and stuff, then open it up, and find out that it's not exactly what I wanted.

The best? Well that obviously depends on the maker. Why has everyone chosen V's? Do they epitomise metal?
I'm a fan of weird and wacky shapes that aren't too extreme, and practical aswell, like a Scarab or a Virgin (which is the shape my Ran is being made into)

By the way, a fine choice there ManOwaR, to each his own, but I prefer totally original guitars.

Cuz they specialize in "metal" guitars. You don't see them making too many strat type guitars or anything.

just get that as the inlay "dime 66-04" or something

blizzard- i picked a V cause I love them they are a very metal gutar, but to me theyre the most comfortable guitars ever. i have a jackson v and have played several others and i jsut love them, the shape the feel everyting
