Guitars:
-Epiphone LP 100 Studio Gothic
-Samick: Dunno what kind, bought it used but it's bascially a replica of a Jackson Soloist. By far the best guitar i've ever held in my hands.....by FUCKING far!
Gear:
-Peavey Bandit 112 (2nd edition). Probably one of the best sounds i've ever heard coming from an amp.
-Varied picks....right now i'm using Medium width more often, feels more "right".
And i have a Wah pedal.....i think i used it the day i bought it.

For my guitar, a Fender mexican fatt strat:
Boss metalzone
Yamaha FX500 sound prossesor.
Peavy ad reverb 1 & 2(Both broken I think, but I got them for free...)
50w Lanely amp. It's big enough for practise, and I can plug an Fullstack in it.
Good enough... I need a new tuner though, couse i trew the old one in the wall... It sucked and I was realy angry. It did not amange to tune my guitar
Now i tune by just listening... I must learn some tuningtecknique, I don't remember it.

Hmm I don't think that means I hate my guitar :P Now I can fast-tune to drop D which sounds KILLER even with mi original dungan designed micups. Have to change those..
And, I didn't crank the trem all the way up&down so it doesn't do big changes on my style of playing, like to do some diving though

How do you like the JS100?
I play a Schecter C-1 that I put Seymour Duncan Invaders in.
Digitech GNX3
And I had a Marsahall MG212 or something like that...it was a 30 watt amp with two speakers in it..it was kinda small but it worked. I sold it. Im looking for something that can withstand a little bass...I tune low and my speakers always rattle. I cant adjust it out either..not without fucking up the sound. No Im not rich, so I cant go buy just any amp.

Check out the B-52 brand of amps. There cheap, High quality, great sounding amps. And they give u a 5 year warranty. The heads go for 300 at guitar center and the cabs r 300 also. Or u can get the fullstack for 900

http://www.randallamplifiers.com/pr...cabs/rs215w.asp
they are 1,000 bucks, but they are 2x15s, you only need 1 of them, they are said to be GREAT for low tunings. But until you get that kinda money, you COULD always just put up with the rattling, cause 1,000 for a cab is pretty high up there. But they are new, if you wait a while, more than just randall might start making them, and they will be sold for cheaper.

I play a penny-colored Ibanez RG470 tuned DGCFAd with ernie ball power slinky .11-.48 strings. I run it through a Digitech Genesis 3 and out to a Peavey Renown 400 solo series 210W 2x12 combo. Perfect for in-home practice at low volume or rehearsing, gigging, and disturbing the peace after you turn knobs past 4. The Genesis is meant for recording i guess, but it works fine through an amp and would be even better if I had the optional footpedal setup.

Gibson SG gothic (tony iommi humbuckers installed)
Schecter C1 Classic (the amber color, and the older model with an extra tone knob)
fender s-s-h strat, sunburst (retired)
old ibanez flying V (pro line series from the 80's i think)
amp
Marshall Jcm 200 Dsl100 (currently away being modded)
Genz Benz 2x12 cab
Marshall 4x12 straight front cab
gear
Mt-2 metal zone (retired)
Digitech Metalmaster
Digitech rp80
Crybaby Wah
i have a noisegate and eq but they are over my drummers house and i cant remember their models atm
|
i dig it.....
hows that genz benz cab? is it the gflex kind with v30's and the bass port at the bottom?
i saw a band a little while back and one kid had a pair of them stacked up with a triple recto... needless to say he sounded huge...
i think they copied the old school peavey cabs with the bass port designs and shit. if you took two of those 2x12's, put one on the ground, and the other on top of it but upside down so the bass port is on top... that's almost exactly what my 4x12 cabs are like... with the right speakers they are honestly the best sounding cabs ever imo...
and is that ibanez a law suit era one? those are some of their best shit... law suit les pauls and artist series are totally dreamy.

Guitars:
BCR Bronze Warlock
Yamaha CG-101 Acoustic
Amps:
Marshall MG15DFX
Musicman RD-100
Musicman 4x12 cab.
Pedals:
Boss MD-2 Mega Distortion
If I have the patience to save up for some cash i might buy a cheap JMP -1, Mesa Studio Preamp or Quad. Theyre kinda cheap here, i think so anyways.

Yeah, and I have an amp now. Nothing tremendously mind-blowing, but hey, I picked it up for $600 (head + cab).
Crate G260XL head.
Laney 4x12" with Celestion G12M-70's. 280w. Does me fine.

My Guitar -
Plat series BC Rich ironbird
- Getting an X2N for bridge
- and probably some neck Dimarzio pick up for neck
My "Amp" -
Stage 1 - Tube Preamp
Stage 2 - BR -532 Recorder
Stage 3 - Volume Boost pedal
Stage 4 - Out to PA
My FX are on the Recorder but i use chorus for Solos like James Murphy/Chuck Schuldiner, and i also do some tripped out Psychedelic solos with phaser. Simple set up for weird sounds...

yeah sorry i forgot to mention the model on the genz cab ya its that george lynch g-flex series, the sound is awesome, its actually better than my marshall half, its the one your thinking of, hence my obsession with the deep switch on the jcm, the sound is really nice and thick, only problem is it makes my bassists life more difficult cause then he needs to outdo my punch
as for the ibanez i have no idea, my uncle died and in his will he left all his music shit to me, so i got that some recording shit and a ton of keyboards, i have no knowledge of the guitar beyond that, i'll post a picture when i can find which bandmember has my digital camera

jcm800's are ok but only with a decent pedal, 800's dont have a lot of gain at all, the 900's have way more

I know. I am putting the 800 into the 900 to get more gain.

Actally, it'll cost about 1000$. I dont think thats that much considering some people on this website have Uberscalls, Triamps, and ENGLs.

that doesn't make sense, you won't get more gain since the 900 allready has more, it won't sound tight IMO, its medium-gain into high-gain, theres no point to it... you could use the 800 for the cleans though. or the medium-gain distortion if you use a ts-9 or a rat.
1000 bucks, for that ammount you could get something better...
I don't know anyone here that has an uberschall or a triamp.
though I have two Engl's

how are you putting the 800 into it???
i don't see why you'd buy another lower gain head for added gain when a simple boost pedal would work fine, hell, maybe even better.... plus save you cash.

Ok. I am cancelling the order on the 800 and getting a 900. Trey uses the 800,900, AND a boost pedal. Two semi hi-gain amps should get the gain I want. The extra head was to get more tube saturation. And I am not going to get a poweramp and a pedal like you will probably suggest.

Alot of the thickness comes from the bass, genius. All you are doing is making the guitar muddled. I would put money on it that it sounds good, but once you mix that with everything else, it'll sound like shit. Mark my words.

marked....
my guitar sounds huge... and my band doesnt even have a bassist.... and when i do jam with bass players i can simply turn the bass shift on the jmp-1 off so i'm not invading his frequencies....
i have more low end and thickness to my guitar's tone, while the other guitarist is more high and middy(though i still have quite a bit of mids).... it's easier to distinguish who's playing what...

I'm running :
Ibanez RGT-42 with a Dimebucker in the bridge (gonna be an 81 soon) and a Distortion(soon to be 60) in the neck,
Epiphone Les Paul 7 string with a 7-81 in the bridge and 707 in the neck,
and a ESP Steph. Carpenter
All through a Line 6 POD XT than to a KFK-10 Band EQ than to the effects loop of a Marshall AVT 50 Combo.

The randall warhead is at home, where it has been for the past 2 1/2 years, wrapped in a sheet (lol). I originally came in the army just so I could buy gear and shit...and now I'm gonna buy a Ran!!!! I'm still looking around for amps too though....probably a triple rec or a jmp-1.....

i hate ebaying things... i don't even have my own account... i only buy things on there occasionally through friend's accounts and stuff when it's worth buying.
i don't like the selling process with them. i like to post adds on various forums and classifieds. it's more trustworthy and comfortable imo...
