Thanks guys. Thats actually a demo we done in 7hours. The production and the recording was done in 7 hours so the vocals were a bit rushed.

Thanks man, ya the high end vocals are iffy, there is two of sets and the first one is good, but the second one is just fucked up. The lyrics for this song is completly different then your regular metal, its about being something your not. (really hard to explain), but thanks man.

i was in a band called lost cause (LC). i know cliche as fuck.
im into D.M, and my friend is into pop-punk. we also had a drummer that listens to hard-trance/ dance music so yeah, quite a combo. these were the roles:
Myself: lead guitar
Justin (pop-punk) : rythym guitar
Mike: drums
ok so anyway this was by far the shittest thing ever.
Justin, the cunt, made himself songwriter and i didnt have anysay, and mike didnt either. he found out that song writers get about 90% profit of the band unless you split it between the band, so if we ever made any money, he would get most of it. Fucking jew. anyway, we didnt write often and as a result writing a song took about a month. the first song: is gay. he wrote the whole thing, i didnt get any say.
we were meant to be a punk/metal band. this song was gay and he did a solo. so he sung, played lead, even though im a better guitarist (because i play metal 100% and he plays punk) (he cant even tremolo pick) anyway, i was pretty angry , but i left it slide, with hopes for a better song.
he wrote another song in one night.
he fucking killed it.
the song was entitled "alive to die", sounds promising. but it was shit.
i played this throughout the whoooole song
B|-----------------14--------------------------14-
G|----12----12-------------12-------12-----------
D|-14----14----14-------14-------14-------14----
i mean it , the whole thing. i only had one change, the chorus, which was pathetic anyway. but it gets worse.
the song was a fucking love song, on the terms of "am i alive 2 die, or am i here for you"..."your kiss is like a flame, that i hold in my hand"
THE GAYEST FUCKING LYRICS IN THE UNIVERSE
he has been with a girl for 6 months, loves her more than Jesus (he is Catholic), and wouldnt dump her for 1 billion dollars. he is also 15.
i remember, i just gave him a weird/disgusted look, and walked away refusing to play
im with Mike doing our music now, we do an array of theme songs - Death Metal (but for the death drumming we use a computer :P) but i dunno, its fun. nothing could be worse than Lost Cause. the biigest piece of shit poser this planet has ever seen

Welcome to Slavery
Hey, all. Well, just stumbled across this site, and am glad I did...now a little about me and my band
I'm the bassist for a band called Wetwork, a progressive/technical death metal band from the Toronto, ON, Canada area. We are a 3pc (bass, drums, guitar) plus a female vocalist that most people agree sounds like a cross between Death and Carcass.
We are about to release our 3rd CD and hope to have it out by June 1st. It will be entitled "Synod", and should be available in most North American retail outlets.
If you want to hear some of it, go to www.wetwork.ca/heavensadvocate.html and if you want to just see the website, it's www.wetwork.ca (the song is hidden, so if you didn't know the link, you'd never find it...) Enjoy, and let me know what you all think of it.
I've been playing bass, now, for over 23 years, and just keep getting heavier and heavier (in playing style, not weight...lol) and don't see any end to it in sight. I've been very fortunate in my time, and seen many parts of the world that I never thought I'd see.
Thanks, and later.

that Wetwork song was alright, the bass near the end was awesome. good flow to the song and all that, cool outro riff as well. the vocals seemed to have effects added to it though, making it a little weak, and the whole "there is no God" thing is really childish. if you've been playing guitar for 23 years, aren't you too old to have high school lyrics? i just find those lyrics, plus the webpage to be needlessly evil, hopefully its more of a joke then anything else.

Wetwork Lyrics
Hey. Glad you enjoyed the song overall. The bass riff at the end of the song is a 2-handed tapping technique over 4 strings, using (in order) the root, octave, 5th, 10th, octave, 5th, then modulated up a minor 3rd, down a major 3rd, etc.
Vocally, the only effects on the vocals are a little reverb to blend the vocal tracks. She does 2 vocal tracks for everything, and adds a 3rd vocal track for some of the deeper sounding parts, but it is all Doc's vocals.
As for the lyrics, the theme of the whole CD "Synod" is basically pointing out the hypocrisies and fallacies within the church, which is something the entire band feels very strongly about. We used the words "There is no God" more or less to fit with the underlying riff, but also to emphasize the message behind the song, that there IS no God within the organization known as religion. Not that there isn't a God, but that the church itself is so corrupted and greedy that it no longer represents the wishes and morals of thier God.
The website, and the artwork on the upcoming release are, by necessity, "evil" in looks, as we are, afterall, a technical death metal band. And remember, it's all about marketing. lol. But we are not in anyway trying to promote Satanism, nor are we Satanist, or anything of the sort. If anything, we are probably what you would call Agnostics.

It sounds more like you are atheists. Stand up and admit it like a man. Agnostic is pretty much a copout to avoid backlash from religious friends and family...
That song was pretty decent, but I would agree Father Death that the imagery and lyrics are old and tired. Good marketing is doing something new IMO.

ah i thought there was a bit more added to the vocals, in that case they are fine.
at least you guys have a theme going on for the CD, thats always a plus, regardless of what the theme actually is.
thats a pretty sweet bass thing, i like to be able to download the song instead of just playing it though, pretty much just for that one part.

Been in a few bands in my time nothing much ever happened as we kept having to audition new bass players every few weeks! Strange animal the bass player! I guess it don't help when both guitarist tune differently, poor chaps never knew what key to play in!!!
Here's a link to my mates band web site, just to show that metal is alive in small town England! They'd appreciate the visit
http://www.detonalstate.com/indexflash.php
If the link doesn't work send me some abuse and I'll try to sort it!

Hey Father Death. Thanks again for the comments. Always glad to hear what people think, good, bad or otherwise.
We are revamping the entire website to coincide with the June 1st release of "Synod", and there will be atleast 2, probably 3 full songs in high quality mp3 format for downloading. I'll make sure one of them is "Heaven's Advocate" lol
In the meantime, if you like, PM me your email addy and I'll send you a lower quality mp3 (as that's all I have on this piece of shit computer...) They are still clear, but only 96K...
Cheers

Hey, Kylito.
No, I'd still say Agnostics...not that we could care less about backlash from ANYONE foolish enough to be "religious"...lol
Once the new site is up, you'll notice a marked change in the imagery. It's still going to be along the same lines, but much more professional. At that point, take the time to read the lyrics page (on the new site) and I think you'll notice that it's far from being the same "old and tired" lyrics. Or atleast, I HOPE so...lol
But thanks anyway for the comments. As I said, I appreciate all comments on our music, good, bad, or indifferent.
Cheers

nice one cheers for the feedback, yeah it's a shame the production isn't quite up to standard but we only spent a total of about 10/12 hours recording and mixing it with the producer. I shall definitely be posting up our new shit when that gets done!
Again, thanks for the positive feedback, you to Blizzard Beast!

CHeck out www.myspace.com -> Click the "Music" link (upper right) and go to "Artist Signup". The have a bad ass stand-alone player that lets you put 4 songs at a time on your page. You gotta have an MP3 mixdown, but most recording software let's you do that anyway. Pm me if you're interested in that and I'll reply with some links and tutorials to make your page look good.
Had a band with some buddies, but the vocalist and guitarist decided to friggin' move. Hopefully we can track-swap over the net and still make music:
http://www.myspace.com/syntheticcybersluts
and a solo project I'm working on in the meantime. The tone kinda sucks, so bear with it:

we've had our vocalist for a few years now man, so i wouldn't call him new man. We've been asked to play in London sometime in June or July hopefully man, it's still in the early stages of sorting out but i'll definitely let you know the details dude!

The New Wetwork Site is up...
Okay, all, the new site is up as of this weekend...there's currently a "trailer" on the site, looks amazing. We will have the final site up as of this weekend, along with atleast 2, maybe 3 full, high-quality mp3's for download. Feel free to check it out, and sign the guest book while you're there.

Remnants of a Deity
Canadian Death Metal band Remnants of a Deity have finally completed their first ever Demo.
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/4/remnantsofadeity.htm
we had to use a drum machine unfortunately, but the quality isn't all that bad. we got 5 songs for you guys, so check it out. if you're lazy and only want to listen to one song, i'd recommend "The Mathematician".
let me know what you think.

Death Metal isnt my fortay....however "Ejaculating the Winter Storm" kicked ass and was my favorite right in front of the Mad Cow tune.
The opening of "Obsessions with lacerations" was creepy sounding...nice.
Thanks for sharing these and good luck with everything.

we have just finished the recording stage of our new CD, it's being edited and mastered this week hopefully so we should have the finished copy within the next week or two.
We're very happy with the way it's sounding, we have the recorded version and that sounds good as it is but after editing and mastering it should be sounding damn good!
We recorded five tracks and we're very happy with it. I can't wait to here the mastered version!

Hi guys,
Two songs from my bands new CD are available from both links in my sig.
The CD will be available to buy from our website for only a few pounds when we have the artwork completed. The CD is titled 'Corporal Mortification' and has five songs on it.
Give it a listen and let me what you think.

My band is called Code Of Honour. We used to go with the name of Raksasas for about 6 years (released a demo, a split-7" and a full-length-cd) but last summer we decided to choose a new name and start again.
It is basically death-metal with a little hc-edge. You can listen to the three tracks of our current demo "on grounds of battle" on http://www.myspace.com/codeofhonour or visit our homepage http://www.codeofhonour.de

Finally........
Okay, the new site is finally up and running, there are samples (1 to 2 minutes long, 192K stereo tracks) available for your listening pleasure, and there are 2 full songs that you can download right now at our label's site. We're waiting for our webmaster to get back from the cottage to put the songs on the sample page in downloadable format, but in the meantime, go to Krankenhaus Records You can download them there. For the other 7 songs on the CD, just check the samples page at Wetwork (and yes, you can now skip the flash intro to the site at anytime...)
Cheers.

I'm just about to get into a band (name undecided as of yet), its a 'symphonic black metal' band, i'll be on vocals for that one.
Trying to get a band together with a few other guys, that'll have 3 guitarists (a rhythm and two leads- harmonised solos all the way ) i'll be on guitar and maybe 2nd vocals too. Again no name as yet.
And finally my solo project, desun. Its a doom/black/death project, expect a few tracks soon-ish, got an epic song in the works too

I've just named my band Meconium (means a baby's first shit). It's best described as abstract technical death/grind. The songs are in my sig but lack vocals at the moment.
Very soon I'll get some vocals down then release a demo. I'm pretty sure that I'll interest some labels seeing that it's pretty original, off-the-wall shit but there's no really good metal labels in Australia and I might have to go with a core one.

Actually, I've added an eerie sounding, ~30 sec intro to the straight edge song. I'll put it up soon. I'll also put up another song that'll go on the demo.
We were thinking that If we ever made a video clip, it'd be for Skull Full Of Unicorns. That shit would be hilarious.

My band does not have a name because we are dipshitted little monkeys and we have some kind of mental block that's been happening for the past...6 months. God, that's a long time. Anyway, i think we're pretty good. Our name was originally Reapers (oh my god that is gay as hell now that i look back), then it was howling wolves (less gay more retarded) then it was Amped (IT WAS TAKEN! BOTH SPELLINGS! HOW THE HELL DOES THAT WORK?! Oh, the spellings were Amped and Amp't) and that leads us to where we are now: nowhere. I've thought of some good ones, but you guys won't like them because they have to be evil as shit to satisfy you. We don't want to be satanic, but we don't want to be Christian, either. We're a happy medium. We'll call it Christanic. Whoa, that's kind of a cool name. We are actually punk/metal/alternative. Punk lyrics/outlook, metal music/sound, alternative cause the other two don't fit in anywhere either. We've only played 1 gig so far because we can't get enough practice time in to satisfy the needs of our fans (15 people--haha), plus we've only got 7 or 8 songs that are possible to play (some aren't even begun to be made yet, so we scrapped those). The songs we've got so far are
Bloodred (named after the guitarist's guitar)
Moosicken Chocolate Pudding Song (named after a fantasy creature; don't ask)
We Refuse (there's the punk, right there!)
The End of the Universe (a song about a gym teacher destryoing the world, basically)
Dreamland (about daydreaming)
Headbang to Beethoven (the whole song is a piano solo)
Skateboarding Song (more punk--our most in-your-face song)
We also have a large number of guitar riffs that are unused and are yet to be used. There are three people in the band--
A bass player named Bedhead
A guitarist named KC
And me, the drummer, and i'm SonOfABitch
Anyway, we set up in Bedhead's garage and play. It's fun.
