Some people are so fucking stubborn and close minded. iwrestledabearonce is actually really good. If you pay attention to what they're playing instead of looking for something you don't like. If they can incorporate grindcore with different types of music, they obviously know what the fuck they're doing. I've said this to so many people before, if it shows good musicianship and talent you should respect it even if it's not your type of music. Don't get me wrong though, I love everything that's based around metal.

And just so you know, they didn't have a drummer when they recorded which is why it's just a drum program, but the one they have now can play the same as the recordings.

I've said this before, but overly, extremely technical guitar work, especially in bands like this, is as impressive to me as watching someone juggle toasters. Interesting to look at, for about 5 minutes. I can't juggle toasters, but no one criticises me on that basis for saying that it's a waste of time. If the members of this band were born 100 years ago they'd be doing variety acts and spinning plates for a living, they just strike me as that sort of outfit.

Their music is shit, and it seems to be nothing more than a showcase for both their technical abilities and their pretentiousness, neither of which appeals to me or any other half-sentient being.

Talent isn't gauged by how fast you can play, or even how well you can play, it's how well you can utilise what skill you have for your creative ends - this seems to be where IWABO stops in their tracks. Here on metaltabs, we don't judge the skill of a band based on the speed of the drummers sound check or the amount of mistakes a singer makes when they have a cold. 64th notes at 200bpm isn't ever near possible for a human to play on double bass, so your lack of judgement is even more apparent that I previously thought.
