I basically hate black metal too. I only listen to a few Dimmu songs cause i find them rather heavy and it reminds me of heavier metal.

I bother posting in the thread because it happened to come along when I was looking in the "Bands" catagory, and wanted to throw in my opinion on how I think Black Metal is to me now, and to let people know I don't listen to it anymore, which people still probably do, hence the name.
Don't get your panties in a bunch, boy just because I don't agree on the same musical terms as you.
Black Metal isn't the greatest Genre, I've lived to see better Genre's that have come, and go. And Black Metal isn't one of them.
And I only play Undead on Warcraft III, thank you. |

i dont like black metal at all but have you ever heard of Vinterland? Those guys came together to make one great album and that was it, it kicks soooo much ass. Its so damn melodic and fast. The vocals are great and ahhhh check them out! you probbaly wont find it anywhere, the cd is way out of print but if you guys want some i could send some.

Wow, I must say, I'm suprised by the number of people who say Cradle of Filth. The only album by them I would consider black metal is The Principle of Evil Made Flesh. They themselves have never call themselves black metal, not even during those days.

I think Cradle of Filth was considered black metal because of the scene they played in or whatever, kind of how BTBAM became metalcore..... except in BTBAM's case, it's true.

Mustis, their keyboard player. I think he's written all the orchestral parts for Dimmu ever since he joined in '98. (He's played on Spiritual Black Dimensions, Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia, Death Cult Armageddon, the re-release of Stormblåst, and In Sorte Diaboli. Fear and Wonder is such a beautiful song.
