I actually kind of like the simplicity of the title and "artwork." The zombie on the inside looks kinda funny though, it almost reminds me of one of those coloring books where you color spaces in by what number they are.

I Haven't even heard the new album yet and I doubt I'll buy it. The last one I think was Bloodthirst, My girlfriend has Gore Obsessed and that one was alright. I like compelled to lacerate, the changes were pretty cool.
How many albums are these guys gonna put out anyway.... Maybe they'll call the next album Dead.

I've just gotten into Cannibal Corpse, and I've gotta say, I love them. I dunno the difference between "Old School Cannibal Corpse" and their "new" stuff. Whatever it is, I'm liking it. It's got this whole "There is order in chaos" feel to it, how no matter how chaotic and distorted sounding it is, it still follows all the fundimentals of music. That's what I love about Cannibal Corpse... also the fact that they sound fucking kick ass.
I only have "Gore Obsessed" and "Live Cannibalism." This new album looks good too, and the song samples sounded good. I'm definitely gonna get it.

It's a damn good album if you take the time to listen to it properly like the first time through i thought "yeah this is ok" but listen to it more and i got really into it and started learning the shit.

Id argue though, that Vincent Locke's art work is a trademark of CC, like the drums. Theyve gone with him for every album it seems, it just seems a little weird they wouldnt do for this one. I understand the supposed artistic theory behind it, but come on, its CC, theyve got at least 10 (or something like that) albums out, all with his artwork, you expect it. Its part of a CC album.

Don't you guys feel The Bleeding had the most disappointing coverart? I would rather see the word 'KILL' on the cover than The Bleeding's shitty picture of what looks to be a muscle or something. Yeah, The Bleeding is a step back from what the fans were used to. I think it's just that animated gore and zombies are so closely associated with CC that, whether it's a good album cover or not, if it's different than usual it feels a bit weird. Like they changed their style or something. But for the most part I think they've stuck to a similar formula, so the artwork really isn't that big of a deal in my opinion. Especially if you musically sin and download/burn the thing.

I agree with the above statement since skull full of maggots is my fav CC song. But i wouldnt say its technically brutal, brutal yes, but not very technical since i can play it and im not all that great.

Oh, alright i guess i didnt detct that sarcasm. It is quite simple musically speaking, but you gotta love the chorus, "MAGGOTS!!! Now they eat you. MAGGOTS!!" as so on. Its fun to sing along with IMO. I also like that song Stripped Raped and Strangled, its got a catchy groove as the main riff..

it seems like they made a solid, but safe album. i like it nonetheless. the production is so much better than TWS.
