Hmmm the lower strings are longer. I guess that gives them a better sound? And if the string is the same thickness, but longer, doesn't that mean it will need more tension to make the same note as a regular string? If this is true, that means that the difference between the tension of the high strings and low strings isn't as big of a difference. Interesting.
But I would hate to play stuff at the first fret, or at really high frets, because it's so out of alignment I wouldn't know which finger to use where. Cool bass.

Novack Fanned Fretboard System
One of the features of this design (suprisingly enough) is the ease and comfort of playing at the extreme top or bottom of the neck. With the fret's "fanned" like that, it's more ergonomic and easier on the wrist. You don't have to bend your wrist at an unnatural angle to climb the strings, as the frets are designed with the natural flow, or natural angle, that your wrist is already in.
Picture how you play, say, a F minor scale from the E-string (1st position). Think of the unnatural angle of your wrist. Now imagine the same thing using this neck, with the frets aligned as they are...interesting, no?

Yeah, it fully does look like real marble, but then it would take ages to get the frets fitted in and the neck and everything, so yeah it must be painted (if it says it is) im just trying to spot the wood grain in the paint..

40 frets seems rather excessive. It must be really hard to play too, I bet my pinky is as wide as two frets at the upper frets. One tiny distance too much in one way or the other and you get either the wrong note or a poorly fretted note resulting in fret buzz. I thought the upper frets of a guitar were bad ...

Michael Anthony's JACK DANIELS Bass ( i think it is supposed to have ether 1 0r 2 small compartments for Jack Daniels)
ZZ TOPS bassist has a bass in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame that looks like it is made from scrap metal and a old charbrator.  |

i wish i had a doubleneck bass but not a galveston like that, i remember seeing one of those on ebay while back and idk, it just seems like galveston is one of those very cheap offbrands to me...and to the 2 string bass, that bass was allready on here quite a while ago but it was a different picture
