My mind is a matrix and stretched have I it. I need to stretch it more though. Things did go into bullet-time as I dedicated that morning to stroking a sheet of A4 to I's intro' in blue ink.
I think it's overall time signature is something like 381:8, in it's simplest form. I did some maths after I completed it but there may be some errors. I did even weirder diagrams for my maths.

Oh, does everyone get the notation? There is a key at the bottom. I hope there are no problems in understanding it...
Perhaps this is a help...
The first line is like 21:32
000---000---000000--- x9
I I II
There's a space at the end of every line if that went unnoticed...
See?
Or 21:16, which would budge my calc's into 381:16 should they be correct...

More to come too when I can compute it!
The verses with the triplet cells - check!
The heavy riff I only know when I'm listening to it, so - half-check.
The bridge between the heavy riff and the first solo - check!
The post-creepy-acoustic break - check! At least upto that jump...
The outro pattern that sounds like a piano falling down the stairs - check!
Anyhoo,

Another neuro-tab-assault for I-fans.
Meshuggah - I (Triplet section 1:54 - 3:34)
III I III I I IIII I IIII
I II I IIII I IIIIIII IIIII
I II I I IIII I IIII II
I IIII I IIIIIII IIIII I II IIIIIIII
I I
III I I II IIII II III I I III
I I I III III I II IIIIIII
III IIIII I II I I IIII I
IIIIII I I IIII I IIII I II I IIII
I IIIIIII IIIII I II I I IIII IIII
I II I IIII I IIIIIII I J
Taken from some notes I unearthed a few days ago.
I thought I lost them 25 minutes into my search
through the zero-oredered library of papers on my desks!
It's split into the distinct three sections that
can be distinguished in the triplet section.
1. "I - This fractal illusion..."
2. (Descends a semitone from Eb to D)
3. Post-verse, with lead
J is that incredible 'dropping' sound before the heavy riff.
Listen to I and you should figure out the system easily enough.

Meshuggah - 'I' Bridge (between heavy riff and 1st solo)
I'm unsure of the note this is but it's probably
that full power chord thing that litter's Meshuggah's
riffs - especially on DEI and Chaosphere. Have a
listen to the end of Neurotica.
This riff actually repeats! Incredible!
I II I I III I I II II II II II I
I II I IIII II III I I II I J
I II II I I III II I I II I I
I IIII III II II II III I I IK
K - Conjoins with first bit's first 'I'

Well for those who have GP, here is the intro of "Scultping The Throne Ov Seth" i decided to post it here becasue it's too difficult for me tab the whole song in gp and i will tab it only in txt, i think is correct (midi's sound seems that the tab is wrogn, but played in the guitar it sounds good) but if someone find any mistake, pm me

I hadn't listened to 'I' for a bit when I wrote this post. 2. should be ascends from D to Eb, I think. I need to get listening for the rest anyway.
I fsomeone could do the soloes, that would be an immense help. The first at least.

I believe some folk will have been waiting to see anything from 'I'. Here's to them.
Oh...
I = 000
II = 000000
III = 000000000
(space) = ---
(on Eb)
I will do the proper tab form when I complete the tab. I have notes for most of 'I', all in weird cell diagram systems. It's still going to take weeks to complete, especially since I've started a conquest on some other complex stuff like Morbid Angel's God Of Emptiness (near completion) and the noodly bits of Catch 33.

This all sounds right to me. I tabbed it in C# and transposed to Bb. the tapping part is not actually too hard : D
*Edit: fixed it to Bb as opposed to B, changed some strings for the tapping so its easier to play.

EDIT: Oops, didn't realise it was only the solo.

I have doubts of it's correctness too. You just need to focus. I did it on my PS2 because L2 (rewind) is easy to use and access. You gotta make sure you can memorise small bits too, like one or two I II's or something so you can remember your position. And only ever rewind to a maximum of five seconds. The intro' took around an hour or so. All I was hearing was Eb all morning. Most of the other sections I did ages ago, but the intro' has proved the hardest. I have also been listening to it for over a year so some of the phrases become subliminally locked, particularly in good memories like mine. I think I'll tab the last few sections (beginning around 14:00) next.
To the rest of you, bloody read.

Cryptopsy "Phobophile"
Here's the powertab I did outta boredom for the piano intro to Phobophile...I more than likely won't get around to the rest of the song...but I might...I just put this up in case it might inspire someone else to PTab the rest of the song...

a 0 is a fucking 0 man! when you pick an open note on a string(the Eb string in this case)!
The first 6-7 minutes of "I" only consist of Eb triplets in various patterns.

Upto that really high-end acoustic bit 'I' is pretty monotonous but there are changes in note. Listen to the bridge riff before the solo. It's a full powerchord of some note. And the first verse is D. The third triplet bittie is D. And that tremolo picked bit with that incredible drum polyrhythm changes note here and ther and it's permutation has all sorts in it.
That polyrhythm is probably the deepest locked rhythm in my head. When I'm tapping on tables and desks I keep shifting over to it.

Internal Evidence
Since we're in Meshuggah mode, here something I done. The rhythms are a tad off in a couple of places and the fingerings are probably different, particularly with that really fast part, but I'm too lazy to do anything about it.... anyway it should give a clear enough idea.

Oh, off the first album. Brilliant!!! No one's ever done shit for that! Shame I can't read it...
can you do Vanished's solo? That, War's and Stengah's are my favourites.
I want to do Cadaverous Mastication but the soloes transcend my powers...

The solos off the first album, while maybe not as schizophrenic as later Thordendal solos, are definately the most kickarse. The one above is probably my favourite, I might try and do a couple more, I'm thinking Cadaverous and Greed.
As for Vanished, I'm sure there is a powertab of it around somewhere....... I might even have it on my hard drive. Not my tab though. Ah yes, here it is.

EEERRRGH!
Can you please type it out AND attach it in an e-mail or something, please?
I don't have Powertab, I'm afraid.
Could I use it in a tab for Vanished, please? I'll be sure to name you co-author. I'd be honoured.

I don't have Powertab, I'm afraid.
Could I use it in a tab for Vanished, please? I'll be sure to name you co-author. I'd be honoured.

As I said earlier, it's not my tab. I just had it on my hard drive. I've got the song in powertab too. Again, it's not my tab.

Bored, you an Insision fan? You should do We Did Not Come To Heal. Just downloaded it onto Sacrifce's comp' the other day. Mental!
Anyhoo...
Here's the beginning of the jazz chords at the end of Catch 33. Really quite technical.
Meshuggah - Sum (Jazz chords)
{CLEAN}
Eb[------------------------------------]
Bb[------------------------------------]
Gb[------------------------------------]
Db[9---6-------------------------------]
Ab[6---7-------------------------------]
Eb[----9-------------------------------]
Bb[------------------------------------]
F [------------------------------------]
Eb[------------------------------------]
Bb[------------------------------------]
Gb[------------------------------------]
Db[9---7-------------------------------]
Ab[6---6-------------------------------]
Eb[----9-------------------------------]

Gb[9-------7-\-6-----------------------]
Db[6-------4-------7-------------------]
Ab[7-------5-------6-------------------]
Eb[----------------9-------------------]

F [------------------------------------]
If someone can name them that would be awesome.
The second I think in the top line is a Cm dim7. I saw it in a schoolbook of my mate's the other day, although the highest note of each is the most dominant tone in each. So ... .

Ive done a little bit of We Didnt Come Here To Heal already. I mean to finish it some day, I have most of the themes that recurr in the song done, so its a matter of findign the nuances. Its an ace song, yeah, that whole albums pretty good, but as a whole its a little atonal and dull, but the individual songs are ace.
What defines a Jazz Chord, btw? Out of curiosity, because I make up my own all the time...

The problem is, I don't have my own comp'. I either go to the local library or use my mate Sacrifce's.

Back with more of 'I' for all.
I - "Brrr-Err-Err" Riff (~8:50?)
I II I II II I III
I II I II II I III
I II I II II I II
I II I II I II II
I III I II I II II
I II I III I II I
II II I III I J O
I I II I II I II
III I II I II II I
II II I III I II I
II II I III I II I
II I III I II I II
II I III I II (V) I II
II I III I III I II
I II II I II II I
III I II I II II I
III I II I II II I
III I I II II I III
I II I II II I III
I II I I:
J - Jump
0 - Low note (rather than the higher note)
(V) - Verse begins
: - Transfer to the next riff
This is the riff after the clean section. The 'I's are counts of adjacent higher notes, the "Err"'s, which I believe are Ab's. The "Brrr"'s are cells of 4, either Ab's an octave lower or Bb's. Can't decide.
I'm going to simplify this because on close inspection, there are tons of recurring patterns.

if you're lazy(like me) you could play the second bar in the first solo like this
Code:
------------------------13-15BHR-15--------------------
----------------------13-------------------------------
13-15-15BHR-15------13----------------10-13BHR-13--10--
-----------------/15-----------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------
it's an easier arpeggio pattern.
you did a great job anyways k13m

great work so far kiem, you even manage to transcribe
that Malmsteen-wannabe sweep from the 4th to the 21st fret
Some notes in the last solo were a bit off though, or maybe i just need to bend my strings harder?

yeah well u know, pt never sound like the real thing, if i put the bend to 1,5 instead of 1 note, it sounds wrong, although its correct on guitar
the final version probaly wont be a pt anyway, cuz i never seem to get the timings right of solos and backing together

Got a really small part of the Angelskingarden solo, my first tabbing attempt ever haha. Pretty sure these parts are fairly correct, but it's really hard to hear because of the production.

Anyone have any other licks from this song, or corrections for these ones?
Edit: added sweeps before second "part" of the solo, they sound pretty correct when played.

well the ROG dudes are tabbing the whole song at the moment. Its very interesting. I dont know who is trying the solo, I think someone is but I dont wanna put pressure on em if they arent (its not been said I dont think.) Ill try this out later, tabbing anything from OWN is a feat in itself, especially that solo as its a little low in the mix. Nice work!

Tim ( Cloaca here) will be doing the solo as far as I know. Oh and I remember when I was fooling around with those sweeps, I came up with something very similiare to yours filthycadaver.

I thought it was Tim, but I didnt want to say as I cant remember specifically reading that. The fucker had better do the synth orchestra too, or face the consequences of a legion of Extreme Death+Power metal fans. Which, i guess, is around 3 people.

Yeah, I saw the in-progress tab at ROG, really good stuff! Fun song to play, riff two is a bit tricky to play cleanly though.
The production really does get in the way of some parts of the solo, you can barely hear them. But tabbing the riffs is probably more difficult, with the drums being so high in the mix, and the palm muting and all, especially in Angelskingarden.

Ok, I've almost finished my version of the Angelskingarden solo. Just have a few parts in the harmony of the big final run near the end to do. I've left that part out because the formatting is a bit messy at the moment.

Yeah you're right, I made a mistake in writing it out. The 13's should have been 14's. Above post has been fixed.
Edit: Here's something else I've been working on recently.

This tab isn't incomplete. I post this here because this isn't metal. It's done by X Japan's drummer, but it wasn't released as X Japan's song so I won't submit this. And I don't even know if this is even released in any album. Anyway, it's a very good song even if it's pretty short.

Here`s a bit I did of Hate Eternal`s the plague of humanity awhile ago. Not sure if it`s all correct, I kinda did these parts kinda fast. One day, I`ll have another look at it though, and hopefully finnish the tab

Here's the pre-solo riff to Starring From the Abyss...hope it helps. I did it quite hastefully though but it shouldn't be too bad.

I'm not good at technical death metal tabs... does anyone know if this is correct?

Not sure on the correctness but I'm willing to bet that the note played at the 20th fret on the high E is actually a pinch harmonic on the 8th fret.

Here's a good bulk of a powertab for Hate Eternal's "To Know Our Enemies"...I'm posting it here because I don't know when I'll get it done. I got most of it done before all the dijereedo (??) and ambient and solo parts.
Of course it's based on Rob's tab.

I tabbed the opening riff to Create The Infinite by Nevermore. I don't think I'll ever finish this though...

Hatchet to the Head
Here's a powertab of Hatchet to the Head I've been working on. I know the interlude/intro reprise isn't correct at the moment but the real reason I'm posting this here is to get any feedback on how the Pre-chorus and Chorus sound timing wise because this Pat O'Brien stuff as many of you know is fucking tricky as hell...

I learned some of Cacophony - The Ninja recently, and the tabs around the net.. the fingering doesn't seem to make sense. I think this is correct:
Code:

---------------10-------8-----------------------

Good stuff so far man. My only irk is the time signature....I dunno. When I hear it I know it's a Pat song so there's a lot more going on than meets the eye. I personally would have done it in odd meters that add up to 4/4, but that's just me.
Anywhoooo...good one...

yeah well, you never know when it comes to Pat
do you think the pull-offs in riff 5 sounds good in 16th notes?

Yeah, sounds good on a quick listen.
Oh, and the verse riff would sound much better in 12/8 IMO

This song is Chants in declaration by Hate Eternal. This is the first tab I've ever written out on my own, so you'll have to forgive me if it's hard to read. See if any of you guys can help me figure the rest.
thanks!

Here are some corrections of tabs on the site (does this count?) I went to email the dudes who did these but they didn't reply.... Can I submit these tabs as long as I list them as a co-author (or me the co-author...whatever) even though they don't know about it?
I think just the first riff is different....

Meshuggah - Corridor Of Chameleons
Solo - Tapped Part
This part is all tapped.
The T's denote tapping with the picking hand.
The rest is by the fretting hand.
To get the timing for it, you must listen
to the record carefully and closely to locate
the higher notes as to the apathetic listener
this can sound like a complete blur of
notes.
Much like you may do in legato, you
should not let your fingers stay on the fretboard
like when hammering on. Keep the fingers above
the fretboard and hammer down hard so you get
a clear, resonant sound. You don't have a
pick for support.
The solo is all 16th notes, so each --- is in fact -.

HAHA!
Wow, that's one hellish solo to tab. I was using Zen technique to help me hear out the notes!
It's part of a tab for this song I'll soon be submitting.
Enjoy.
