im just kidding, i listen to some death metal. a thing i dont really see anymore is two vocalists who trade high/low vocals, disrupt and dystopia are examples, cant think of anymore but ive seen bands live that do this locally and its a killer effect, wish more bands did this

You know there's a big difference between bad vocals and disliking a vocal style. If you don't like growling, it doesn't mean all growlers suck. If you don't like it, then you are a lot less qualifited to make that judgement than someone who avidly listens to growling. Just becuase you don't like it, it doesn't mean it sucks. I really dislike James Labrie's (however you spell it) vocals, but that doesn't mean he sucks just becuase i don't like the way he sings.

yeah, lots of vocalists out there who dont even try to articulate lyrics, lots of "yaaaaaww"s and "oooooohh"s then you look on the lyric sheet and the non articulated sounds dont even match up with what is written down as lyrics.

well ive listened to the beginning of one obituary album: frozen in time. i could only listen to it until the vocals came in, then i proceeded to yell long cries of "why?????" and listen to behemoth's demigod album, which in my opinion is one of the best vocals ive ever heard. why do people not like demigod? i havent listened to any behemoth before then so maybe thats why.
i just found out that this thread's a little old.....oh well

I'd also like to exclaim my disliking of Rob's vocals in the band Halford. The reason being, they're just too high!! Besides him being gay and all, I admire his singing in Priest, but in Halford, it resembles that of a large cat mewing on a rainy Tuesday mid-afternoon. yeah

imo both lord worm and mike disalvo kind suck. Martin is cool and all but the song open face surgery is one of the worst death metal vocals ever.

i know their not the regular metal at all lol, more like a techno-weird metal but i HATE the vocalist for The Berzerker, its so weird and annoying. oh, and MyOwnSavior, i love the lyric in ur sig, that song is really sweet, "For Stevie Wonder's Eyes Only" haha good song, but for some reason i hate the vocals on "Tell Slater Not To Wash His Dick" by Bring Me The Horizon, the music is ok, but his vocals are really annoying on it and he has too high of a voice to be trying to growl, it comes out so weird, i don't like it. Also i don't like Burzum, to me his vocals are too weird for me, i dloaded a few songs and listened once and deleted them lolz  |

He sucks!!
The way he does his vocals is great and all, but the sound he makes is just horrible
Maybe its because the only album I've heard his singing is on Kill, and I hated Kill, but I think he has really bad vocals
Also Chris Barnes, he does some crappy vocals too
Eaten Back To Life was a great album but other than that one, his vocals always sucked
Tom Araya's vocals kinda started sucking after Reign In Blood
They got kinda deeper and less screams
