I've got a Jackson KVX10 in awesome trans blue finish ... absolutely love it.
All stock at the moment though but I will get new pickups at xmas or something.
As a lot of people seem to say on this forum:
Play the best, Jackson...
Fuck the rest...

If you like the silver pickguard go for it, but someone said the pickguard mess up something about the pickups which causes them to not work to their full extent, some sort of interference, idk I forgot but this is what i've heard.
I love my 370dx to death though, any of those guitars will be fine, just that the 350ex and 350dx are basically the same as the 370dx, along with its minute differences (which I still cant figure out) those two have pickguards on em, thats all i know. 350dx will prolly run you more since the pickguard is pearl :P

i read some where, i think it was that ibanez rules site, that the edge pro II and the edge pro III and pretty much identicle. i think they just had to rename the edge pro II because of some lawsuit with floyd rose. so i think thats how they got out of it.
yea, the 370 and the 350 are pretty much identicle.
i think im gonna go for a black rg370. they look soo mean, and play fucking amazing for their price.
thats definately my next guitar

I'm waiting on my Jackson KVX10, which should be here by the end of next week.
At the moment I play a J&D Luthiers 7 string. Transparent green.

My second guitar is a BC Rich Warlock Bronze. Nothing fancy, the worksmanship is inferior to the LTD, feels a lot looser, so to speak, but still a good axe to dick around with every now and then. Plus it has 24 frets as opposed to the 22 on my Explorer, so when I learn to solo, I can really rip it up.

My Jackson is here!
It plays so smooth. The action's low, the way I like it and the Duncans are pretty good but I still think I'll have 81/85 EMGs installed.
The cobalt blue swirl finish is awesome and the shark fin inlays fucking kick arse.
I have barely put the guitar down, I actually fell asleep in my bed with it.

Hmmm...i dont have extra extra nice guitars, but slightly pimped out above-average decent guitars. One kid at my school compliments me by saying i always manage to find cheap guitars with the best feeling necks.
These are all played through an ENGL 530. (the under $500 preamp of DOOOOOOOOOOOM)
Schecter Omen 6 with a Dimarzio X2N in the bridge
Line 6 Variax 300 (for every other guitar tone other than metal that I need...)
Samick Strat (unknown model) pimped out by my dad with a seymour duncan hot rails and two dimarzios...have no idea what they are. This guitar has INCREDIBLE bite.
No pics now, as they samick isnt home right now (at my school, im doing a cover gig there...)

Oh, and can anyone point me to a really nice metal-oriented guitar for around $300 to $500? (the cheaper the better...) Only preferences I have is for it to have a nice neck, sharkfin inlays (or something that looks sharkfin-y) and for it to be in black or red. These are only preferences though.

Ibanez RG320DX H-S-H Licensed Floyd Rose Sharktooth Inlays
Hate the shitty licensed bridge... wish it had the edge pro trem, need EMG's... the stock PU's suck. But all in all, I only paid $180 U.S.D, so I can't complain.
I want this guitar so badly! It's the next one I buy.

My guitar
Heres my first (and current) Guitar.
http://metaltabs.com/forum/attachme...tachmentid=4556
Bought it last year a couple of months after i got interested in guitaring.
Its a 'onyx custom craft'. Dont know anything about it really, bought it 2nd hand with a peavy amp for $300nz ($200 us) Which i thought was pretty good.
I reckon it looks alright, it sounds real nice, even thru a peavy Rage amp.
But im dreaming of a new guitar now... (Maybe a black les paul copy, and put EMG 81's & 85's in it)
Of course ill keep this one

I started playing electric guitar on my Dads 1955 Les Paul Junior.. Now I'm playing a Gibson SG Special which sounds real good and has an even better feel to it.
I have a question though. I've been advised by more than one guitar tech not to install EMGs into the SG, they never really give me a reason they just say not to do it. And seeing that I can't find Gibsons that come with stock EMGs (maybe I should look into it more) I don't know what to do. I have the money for EMGs but as I said everyone advised against it. Should I say fuck it and buy EMGs or should I leave the guitar the way it was made to be?

EMGs have to be put fairly close to your strings...because of a lack of magnetism...In your SG the intonation is probably too high to do the active pickup justice...and you can't set the intonation down too much farther or you will get TONS of fret buzz...Call Gibson and get some P.A.F.s or BurstBuckers...they are both amazing...and a little cheaper....

or even better some seymour duncan, dimarzio, anything passive...I prefer the seymour duncan blues saraceno trembucker teamed with a SH-6...or if you REALLY REALLY have to have EMG they do offer them in passives...the HZ models...but its all personal preference...

Dude get whatever pickups you wan't ultimatelyif you liek the sound of an 81 not many pickups can come close to sounding like it...
Those techs sound like aholes, its not like its a vintage guitar you would be damaging the value of, its a faded sg you can put emg's in it if you wan't..

Thanks for the input guys, I appreciate it.
I'll be sure to stay away from the EMG passives, judging by a couple of the comments here. I dont need EMGs, just thought it would enhance the sound comin outta my AXE..
Does anyone here shred on a Dean Z? I'd love for that to be my current guitar Or maybe a nice RAN. Yea, that'd be nice!

*Those techs sound like aholes, its not like its a vintage guitar you would be damaging the value of, its a faded sg you can put emg's in it if you wan't...*
But if he was to get EMG actives...they would be a waste of money...not even an 81 would sound like an 81 in an SG...it just wont work...

I have an oldass Washburn acoustic and I just recently bought my first electric: Jackson JS30 Kelly and a Tech 21 Trademark 30 combo amp. Very nice guitar... and the amp has a gigantic pair of balls. Lots of variety too. I can tell that the pickups could be better but I will most likely replace them with actives or Dimarzio's, but I'm leaning towards the actives since it's made out of alder wood.

Nice guitar but why still have the pickup selector with no other pickup to select.

7 guitars
I have 4 Ibanez...
1. JEM7DBK With Paf Pros in neck and bridge
2. RG450 with DiMarzio Evo pup in bridge
3. RG170 with Duncan Designed pup in bridge
4. built Ibanez from friend
One ESP MH-201 with Seymour Duncan Dimebag Buckaroo in bridge...doesn't sound that bad. Ok actually.
One Cort X with Mighty Mite pups...they suck lol
And 1 Fernandes RetroRocket Pro with Fenandes Sustainer. Sustainers are cool.

My current main-guitar is a Jackson Kevin Bond Rhoads (blood-red)
Backup on stage is a Schecter Scorpion with a X2N at the bridge.
For recording issues I still own a Gibson Les Paul Studio with a JB at the bridge.

Beutiful guitar... looks nicer than any LP I've ever seen... Is it just me, or is there a chip on the finish? :S

couple of les paul copies
couple of ibanez's
some strange strat which i bought because it sounded awful
i don't think all my guitars together brand new would be worth over a grand. Most were given to me - too poor to go out and buy a dream guitar
