That was funny as hell. I almost pissed myself when I seen that lonely Duncan on a white bground.
Maybe I'll do the same thing since I don't have a digicam either.

yes it is.

Im guna try to keep this short... but its tough for me hahaha.
K, for me, my amp is a very dark, almost muddy amp. I was using cheap hotpafs into it, so it didnt get alot of gain up front. So the result is i had a very flubby low end, not enough gain, and well, it was muddy. With the overdrive, i could make my signal hotter - thus getting me heavier distortion. It also cuts out a little bit of bass which overall tightens it up and removes mud. It does this in such a way that the amp's controls could not.

so essentially - made my tone clearer, tighter, and gave me more gain.
Its fantastic. It seriously made my amp sound head and shoulders better.

I guess I missed out, because a lot of people's links have died. Well, anyways, I'll post my setup on or after the 18th of this month when I go pick up my FIRST HALF-STACK! It cost me $300, plus $25 Colotaxo Sales tax. But shit, for 325 I got a Line 6 Spider III! A marshall would have been nice, but for that price I'll take just about any half-stack.

And for those who don't know, I already paid for it but can't pick it up until it has sat in the store for 30 days, because it is USED and that is Guitar Center's/State Law's policy on used electronic gear.

posting this in here because the rest of this section has turned into spam... I'm thinking about going for this head, but not sure because of the problems listed. if anyone has any ideas on what it is, and how much it'd cost to get serviced, it'd be much appreciated. I have until the weekend to make a decision and then drive 3 hours up to check it out. going to be one pissed off 3 hour ride home if I don't get it...

pretty good.

i gave it a tube job, and I put different ones in there, and got more chunk and all that good stuff out of it. the ultra chan. is OK, the crunch chan. is where the goods are. the clean is... well a regular clean, no reverb or a gain knob to dirt it up a tad. all in all its a solid amp with some great tone. and you can get them cheap too!

also, get a noise gate for one. when you have the gain at 3 o'clock you get some noise with it, the gate cleans it up and it sounds waaaaaaaaaaay better. and makes things alot tighter.

setup, its a few months old.

JCM 800 2203
JCM 900 MK3 2100
JCM 800 Cab (celestion 65s)

93 Gibson Les Paul Studio

Maxon 808
Boss TU-2
Radial ABY
EH memory man akai

Sold the ABY and gave my friend back his memory man since I quit the band I was in. Trying to track down a Boss HM-2 to use in a new project I'm starting with a few friends. Probably a DL-4 to run loops and samples between songs, maybe to do some weird shit with, who knows. Probably selling the 900 to a friend thats playing in the band with me, maybe getting a 2x15 and a Sunn Coliseum Lead. Dunno.
