Some good riffs, shame I only get to hear it on power tab, can't you play it and record it?
I think you should let the riffs breath a bit instead of cramming every riff you come up with into as smaller space as possible, but I suppose thats the style these days.
It's pretty good anyway better than I could come up with on power tab, bu that circus bit is rather silly!

here's a little Death Metal piece i've been fuckin around with. Keep in mind i don't normally write pure death metal, i'm more of a standard tuned/thrashy style, but I figured I'd try something different. It's nowhere near complete, I'm not sure if i'll even bother finishing it, but check it out, let me know what you think.

Pretty badass shit there bud. You just gave me all sorts of ideas to create to. I really like the
E|11-00-33-00-44-33-00-11
part. Sounds badass with the backing guitar doing the intervals. Good use of two guitars.

I had a lot of freakin' trouble with this, and now I finally got it to work. Digital Sound Planet can be tricky...
Quality is okay, and the playing is okay too. Stops right after my improvised solo.
"For The Love Of God"
EDIT: I also noticed that it doesn't completely finish my solo, but I only had a few more seconds to go. Oh yeah, and my timing is a wee bit off. I gotta sleep more. G'nigh'

Wow, I can't believe I never thought of that! And yeah, I listened again and it is fuzzy. I believe Garage Band has a noise gate function you can mess around with.
I enjoyed your creepy clown massacre song... it made me think about stuff.

Thanks for the feedback. And yeah, I just realized that the "chorus" part gets pretty scratchy. I tried using a compressor and noise gate on the other guitar parts, and it helped a little bit, but also cut away from the sound. I need more equipment........... and why not throw in a JEM, too.

I think soon I'm going to post a sorta loopy song that's pretty short with me just soloing over it. Right now I'm just tired. And more people should post here... I also think someone should bring back the solo battle thread.

Someone record a Jason Becker piece, or at least do some awesome melodic sweeping like him.

Here's a tapping piece that I wrote in about 30 minutes. It's entirely tapped but I'm too lazy to apply all the correct tap, hammer and pull-off notation to the score. Also, because I'm shit with Powertab, this is the fastest I can get it to go even though I rip through it a tad faster.

Right click, Save as. And its geocities so my bandwidth will probably be down in about, ooh, 2 minutes?
Should work. A VERY small sample. Recorded by someone else, who was showing me how drums could sound on it, as I was curious and sans drum machine. Its basically just a riff, recorded, which is what this post is for too I just wonder what everyone thinks, as it took me a while perfecting that part. The trem part after the main riff idea is a little simplistic for me, but it works, and I cant imagine much else following that part, now. I do have the rest of the song written down, so maybe one day, ie, soon, ill get off my arse and complete a drum track for it so I can record it.

Not sure. I presume that downloading the software from http://www.power-tab.net will be fine on a Mac, but I'm no expert. There might be specific drivers to download and these will probably also be available in the above link.

Heres one i came up with last night for the band. The band is mostly rock based, so i tried comming up with some less-metal stuff.
Its weird, but some parts sound alright i guess.

The first song I've recorded in fucking ages. I need to work on the tone as it's not as sharp and crisp as I want.
It's only short and the file's small (600kb) so fucking download it and give me your opinions.

thanks man.
i used my Fender steel guitar directly in the input and added quite some reverb as you can hear . The vox also have reverb and the solo is my Dime 332 directly in the input, my shitty soundcard fucks up the sound so that it get's the perfect jazz sound so i cant complain.

I just finished a song. I'm pretty happy with it except for the timing errors in the last bit before the final clean part. It's 2:30 and I can't be fucked fixing it though.
Enjoy.

Alright. I've finally sold my soul to the gayness and for what? 4 fucking songs that aren't even available for download for 24 fucking hours. It takes about 10 fucking minutes for the song to load, even on broadband, just so it can fucking stutter along, buffering every 30 seconds. Not to mention some gay fat fuck with thick, black rimmed glasses stole my name.
Well at least I can get a collection of internet friends, consisting of alternatively trendy hardcore chicks that wear The Used clothing and faggoty emo fags with black nailpolish, frullets and sweater vests.

Virgin Mary
We are called Virgin Mary - Grimmmmist indy label black metal out there.
Virgin mary is the acronym for -
Vile
Intimidating
Racist
Grim
Immortal
Necrophiliacs
Murdering
Another
Retarded
Youngster
our first song is Grim Gangrene, (lyrcis included)
Grim Gangrene
"the grim mountain rises in its necro abyss
above the northern forest i become frostbitten
wind blow harsh at face, cold feeling surrounds
gangrene i aquire, upon odins snowstorm
We freeze my morbid limbs, at my private norwegian forest cottage
gangrene i aquire, upon odins snowstorm
off falls dick"
take in mind this took about an hour to do, all good and fun....

I recorded half of 'wish you were here' Sorry about the horrible quality, i had to make it sound like shit to be able to upload it
It kinda sounds more like the real song because of that though, they kinda use a distortion on the 12-string.
