This was originally going to be a mix of Cryptopsy and Necrophagist styles but it leans heavily towards Necrophagist. The harmonic minor solo is relatively simple for shred but it sounds decent.
I need to work on some of the riffs but tell me what you think of it.

Does anyone know how to do tempo changes within the song on guitar pro 4? I used to know but I forgot.
Also I can't get power tabs to open on my comp. Is there some special program I need to get them to work or is my computer just messed up?

Not sure about gp4, but power tab should not need anything special, just install and start using it. I'd say your comp may be messed up. Try uninstalling it, reboot, install, reboot, and see what happens...

Wow.....
This is pretty creative. I'd love to hear this with Actual Guitars.
That last riff is my particular favorite, I love ringing chords.
This is something I came up with a week ago, figured I'd share it with the Metal Tab Community.

Your a good man YJM04. I'm not trying to rip anyone shit off here, I just wanted some good material to really work on my modal approach. new2 had some real colorful chords for frameworking some motifs/solos. Can you tell me what key the_wait is in? Maybe a lil how the progressions go, just so I can apply my textbook knowledge to it. Thanks bud! If anyone else has some real good rhythm tracks to solo over, would you plz share em. Esp progressions with extended and altered chords. Thanks

Finally, I've finished my first ever song I've composed, still needs tweaking. Okay, drums are done with Fruity Loops. Shit ass Ibanez plugged directly into my pc. This was the song I wanted to enter into the MetalTabs band song thing, but couldn't finish in time. Let me know what you think. I'm also up for anyone wanting to collaborate on future things, vocals, drummers, guitars,..still needing something for the last part on this one, and any part if it sounds good, I'm always up for something different. I done all the mixing myself too, the levels n shit are off for sure, but you can still hear the ideas.
This error has been forwarded to MySpace's technical group.

thats what i get, happy birthday anyway
Oke, here's the complete version of my old-school thrash song. It has a clear structure so it might get a little boring, but that's just because it needs vocals on the returning pieces. If anyway want to give it a shot on the lyrics/vox, contact me.

Finally I got around to record a demo cover for "Carpathia" by Cradle of Filth. It is only composed of two guitars and one drums. The song is pretty simple, but it was so fucking hard for me to sing and play guitar at the same time, but I managed. The guitar quality sounded better than I expected since I still use crap equipment that I never enhanced yet. The same goes to my friend except he has a different guitar than mines. I took out the part where Dani sings "Candelabra snuff prey silhouette wedded etc" because for some reason when I played it, it ruined the whole song and it didn't match at all. It sounded like it was coming from a different song, even though I played it the exact way Cradle plays it.

There is Adobe Audition 1.5? I thought Adobe Audition 1.0 is the newest.

Oops I posted saying about posting the song "Carpathia" I recorded without giving the hyperlink!! Well here it is. http://songs.hijazi.us/Carpathia.mp3
Here is a link with me playing some satriani. Be critical and let me know what you think. I've been playing for about 2 years, and this was recorded thru an XLR out from a Line6 Flextone III on top of a backing track (I use a Fostex MR8 Digital Multitrack Recorder). Make sure you have realplayer to stream the audio file. So far people have told me to improve on my vibrato, it is too narrow, and also to mute strings so they don't unnecessarily ring out. I'm working on it.
Thanks, yeah my legato playing does need improvement. For the time being I'll blame it on the not-so-great action on my Epi Les Paul. Your composition the wait has the most haunting intro I have heard in a while. Very nice stuff.

The Thrash piece I just finished writing. I fucked up on spots, didn't get a decent sound, but you can hear some ideas. The heavy riff is something I came up with the other day. Was playing drums, came up with the drum beat, went and transcribed it to fruity loops, then got stoned and wrote the guitar, I think it sounds badass, so I thought I'd share it.

I was diggin' through my cd's and came across my old band's demo/album, so I thought i'd post up a song as we didn't really get to release the cd to many people back then. This was 5 years ago when I was 14 so it's pretty straight forward 90's style fast hardcore, influenced by bands like raised fist(old), strife, Toe to Toe etc... We won the recording time at a local battle of the bands, we were stoked and quite pissed afterwards . Anyway the band was called Plan of Attack and this song is called Choke, credit goes to David baker for the tune, Enjoy...

I like the Melodic one because it had a sweet lead. The heavy one was ok, it had a nice drum intro but the guitars sounded a bit bad. Though I agree it was a nice riff.

Thanks man, I'm just trying to get my ideas out there. I realize most of my shit either sounds like shit, or sounds like shit. I appreciate your comments. It's only gonna make me better. I'll try to come up with some more leads and actually give the songs/pieces some feeling.

Here's a song i wrote yesterday. Please tell me what you guys think. I think i messed up on a few parts (not messed up but muted some parts i shouldnt have or soemthing ??) and there is one part where you hear a buzz, there was a small surge of electricity in my house and my amp went bizacko... Also, the part that is harmonized, i think it may be a little off. i tried to line up the tracks best i could but whatever, i hope you guys like it.
You know what's funnier than a pile of dead babies?.........

Thanks man!
I know i need bass, ill sit one day and try figure out what sounds good with it. I guess ill just check out a bunch of bass tabs from similar kinda riffs.
heres a guitar pro thing i've been working on. I was just going to get down a few thrash riffs i've been working on, but it ended up that I started making a song; i'd just got the fast thrashy intro down, and it went all doomy.. so it's like a thrash to doom song it's not very long cause I gave up, and im not so good at using guitar pro so drums might not be to scratch but here it is...

I decided to go back as far as I needed until I found anything I could think of comments for-
Enjoying the second song, although needs vocals. As someone said earlier better than the first which is a bit dull, though the people who like that kind of thing might disagree.
Good Job man and put some vocals on there!

Please Listen to My Music-
Please let me know if it sounds good enough to send to record companies?
The quality is not good but how do the songs sound?
Thank you to anyone who reads this, listens to the music or thank you again anyone who let's me know what they think of it, all feedback is welcome.
thanks for the comments bud, I appreciate it. I'd like to lay some vocals down, but can't really sing. Yea, those are all really rough cuts, just trying to lay my ideas down for some real sculpting.

Here's a really driving tap riff I use in one of my songs, however it is saved here as 'Church Organ' because in the MIDI you cannot here the different left and right channels very well. To get a better idea, first play it in the Church Organ then if you want an Idea of how it sounds with distortion just change Guitar 1 to Overdriven Guitar and Guitar 2 to Distortion Guitar. Or play it yourself, I'm pretty proud of this riff.

Pretty sweet intervals to tap with, nice work!
