That song is a classic. Heavy metal mayhem all the way!!! \m/
On a less serious note, here's a little riff I wrote. Just some basic power chord shit, nothing fancy. I'm gonna dick around with it some more when I get a chance. So, without further ado, here it is, ina ll its metal glory.

right click, save as.

Tremelo picking madness at 250 bpm. Something like Pig Destroyer raping Amon Amarth and whomever produced Cannibal Corpse's first few albums doing the sequencing of segued riffs ( My second attempt at digital recording ).

I remastered the old "Track 2" ... there was one accidental open note buried under 24 tracks, and I just could'nt find it.

Hehe, I'm an idiot, I didn't even see the second track, I thought it was a part of your signature. I like the open flow in that one, though. But I was refering to the first track, the intro.

Hey, you're no idiot. The first track was very difficult to cut ... I had written the riff at 200 bpm, and then decided to see just how fast I could go ... My forearm still hurts.

Well, shit, I'm still far behind you. My fastest is comparable to the bridge in Zero Signal (130 bpm?) right now(and that's with open and mute in succession). And I know what you mean, my forearm was killing me til I got that down. But I still have a lot of practice ahead of me.

Now that I've recorded this song, it will be great to practice along to

I read your profile. How is the military treating you?

Keep practicing Fear Factory riffs, you'll hit the really high speeds in no time at all.

As far as military goes, I love it, but am colorblind therefore, worthless. Only shitty jobs. But my real guilty pleasure is recording music. Sucks, cause as a one-man band I have no challenge. I'd love to get out there and play, just to see that friggin' crowd, to hell with the "money" involved. I'll practice that riff you got up, see if that'll help with my speed and diversity.

Link don't work.

I wrote and recorded some jazzy-mellowy clean shit. It's only 'bout 50 secs long, but it's pretty cool. Problem is, I recorded it on my laptop, and put it on a floppy disk (it was only 900 and something kb). Now the floppy disk won't work on my desktop PC.
And I tried putting it on my USB mp3/flashcard type thing, but it can't recognise it or some bullshit.

Thanks to you too.

The guitar is an Epiphone goth explorer with the Zakk wylde emg's
The guitar amp is a program called Amplitube.
Heres a little video of what the program does
>>>http://www.amplitube.com/Picts/User...ngAmpliTube.mov

Other than that, its just a tama rockstar kit with a bunch of mics on it.

Thanks again for the listen fellas.

Amplitube!? I'm surprised, did you record it straight of Ampltube?

Oh I check out your band too, guitars kick-ass, vocals ruin it though. Eh, hardcore screaming just doesn't do it for me.

Whatever it is I'll write a better riff.

*clicking on link* here goes ...

EDIT :

I was assuming you had recorded a balls-to-the-wall death/speed riff, but then I hear Gollum on acid. Very creative, well done.

Bwahaha! You got played. Thanks a fucking bunch though, you spoiled the surprise for everyone else!

Haha, I recorded it using my old MG30DFX, in the darkness with a hint of (purposely) shitty guitar playing, and gr1m vocals, and voila - the perfect black metal!

Bwahaha! You got played. Thanks a fucking bunch though, you spoiled the surprise for everyone else!

Haha, I recorded it using my old MG30DFX, in the darkness with a hint of (purposely) shitty guitar playing, and gr1m vocals, and voila - the perfect black metal!

So all we have to do is give psychedelic drugs to Tolkien creatures and we have the perfect Black Metal ... sounds like a plan.

Down in the madness, fucking, goat fucking!
Fucking, the virgin goat of Beelzebub.
Rawr! Rawr!
Ooh. Ooh.
Tyrants of the North, Tyrants of the South,

you reckon?...the alternate picking riffs usually just flow out of me...the only riff that took me a while to perfect is the ending to the second solo..probably cos i'm not used to tremolo picking when i write solos....meh, i've wrote harder stuff, IMO....

heres a song I wrote. It's not metal, it's something a bit odd that me and one of my housemates have been working on. We performed this a few weeks ago in the university arts week, using guitar pro as a drummer...

Yeah, it started off as a joke. Me and my housmate, Ben (also plays guitar), find slap bass, semitone intervals and flat 5ths funny, so we started messing about with it and it became semi-sereous.
I've written quite a few, that one was one of 3 we did live.

We are currently working on 2001: a bass odyssey. A conceptual bass driven piece lasting 2001 seconds based on Homer's 'The odyssey' with influences from 2001: a space odyssey, but I dont think we will ever perform it live. Our bass player is a grade 8 double bass player (he plays a really nice electric fretless bass), but hes sort of like a session musician for us, so I don't think he'd have the time to learn it all. Also it often has two basses playing slap bass harmonies.
