word to the wise
Word to the Wise.......
Do not post your original songs unless you have them copyrighted. Otherwise you might be "giving away" your work! The process is rather simple
(at least in the states), contact the Copyright office at http://www.loc.gov/copyright or call 1-202-707-3000. The cost to copyright your material is $35.oo per song (last I did it). This also registers you internationally!

Just Recorded Another Song, So Download The Fucker
I just recorded another song yesterday and haven't had much time tweeking it. The volume needs to be cranked. It's about 4:30 long and I still have guitar tune issues.
Right Click And Save As]
I tried to link it on geocities shit before but the shit didn't work.
The fucking "easy upload" shit at geocities fucked up the file so I made a whole new account at AngelFire.
It may be the goremetal influence but I want to kill the arsehole who made geocities by scooping out his eyeball with a spoon then skull-fucking him to death. Go to his house, kill his wife and children then fuck them. Burn the corpses, then fuck them again.

How far did you listen into it? The first riff (up to 1:00) is used to fuck with people (it's very pop then goes to heavy).
I used Fruity Loops for drums and to put the shit together. I used a cheap practice amp so that's where the tone problems start.

Yesterday for about 4 hours, I worked on a song on GuitarPro... and I completed it and here it is.
Note: Last bit of the song, orchestra part, is from final fantasy heh... but apart from that all my own work
Tell me what you think please!

what setup you got like recording gear and guitar and amp and shit? it sounded pretty good, but the recording sounded like it was a tile room, or your amp just had lots of reverb on.

I use a Ltd m 1000 Deluxe with active emg 81 pickups..as for the amp, i use a randall warhead top with a 2x12 inch mesa boogie cabinet. The distortion comes straight out of the top, No pedals involved. For recording : I just hang a microphone for the amp and recorded it on my computer. and you're right... it had a lot of reverb...as a matter of fact also digital delay
But thanks for the comment

It sounds like that because i added a little wah effect. It's only 1 track but I guess it sounds weird because I'm using a cheap headset microphone.

World Premiere Video
Here the beginning of one of my band's songs. My friend Steve put some nice video to it and mixed in some hot chick's vocals. It turned out semi-classic. If anyone's interested I can post the entire song with better sound quality. Click on kook.wmv when you get to the page...

just a new riff i made in guitarpro 4, though not everyone has the program... I've set it in .midi so you can listen to it...
p.s. just a couple of intro riffs, song is far from finished...

if ya like speedy folk, you should take a listen to it.

Ok,
here is another part of a song... the quality of the 2nd guitar is worse...
we just record it with a camcorder... the record is like 2 1/2 minutes long...
it abrupt ends in the end... i will post the long version some other time...

Nice man. Excellent folk riffage. Try some more variation, it sounds pretty boring only having two riffs in a song. Have you got a band?
What bands were your inspirations?

we have changed that last song I posted... it consists of 20 different riffs now... we now never play more then 2 times the same riff.. yeah we already figured it out that it sounded boring after a while when playing the same riff all over again... I'll keep it updated soon we have better recordings...
I play in a band yes, we re with 5 musicians at the moment.
line up:
1st musician: rhytm guitars/tin whistle
2nd musician: lead guitars/tin whistle -> thats me
3rd musician: Keyboard
4th musician: Drums
5th musician: Draailier & pipes
Our band is called "Svadilfari" , the name is taken from the viking mythology.
We play for like a few months now, so it's still in the beginning phase.
We all have quite a lot experience with bands and instrument playing.
Our influences from bands are: Korpiklaani, Manegarm, Forefather, Cruachan, Bran Barr, Nydvind, Heol Telwen, Eluveitie...
(from heathen - black - celtic to viking metal)
i'll keep ya all informed.

Carve_and_Masticate ... little too much drums (same patron all the time), vocals are terrible... guitar stuff, too much unfinished riffs if ya tell me.
Belching_Putrid_Flesh ... 2nd song... getting error.

Thanks for the constructive criticism, always appreciated. But what do you mean by "getting error" ? Getting better ? Or worse ?

Hey spiritcrusher, what setup did you use to record that track? was it just a pc setup?

I recorded it with my guitar plugged directly into an 8-TRACK (my amp is at my practice room) using the integrated effects. The drums were also composed on my 8-track. That's why the sound quality might not be the best you've heard. But it works.

thank ya, they are nowhere near being done, i am going to put alot of time into tyhese ones.
i listened to your song, i love the intro, i like most of the leads, except the last one, the clean guitar sounds out of tune, the growled vox sound like shit with the distortion, the clean vox are awesome, but some of the notes you chose to use dont work, so overall, its not bad, after some polishing up, i think youd have a pretty sweet song on your hands. my favorite part is where it goes clean with a lead at 1:57, the vox there kick ass, but the part where it gets distorted doesnt.

haha theres actually no distortion on the growls...the only voice effects are those ones during the clean vocals

Just wanna let ya know, you should improve some things, when I heard you playing you have quality, which is good... but you definately should change the riffs... if ya want more people to like it...
the 2nd song, i retrieved an error by opening, will try again.

yeah, smae for me....i asked if someone could rate my songs...the cover song from six feet under is alright if you rate it...but the other song is home-made so I would apreciate if someone could rate it...And bloodthirsty demon, the recording is real poor quality but the song ( not my syle ) itself is okay It needs some adjustments though. But is sounds interesting

Hey, thanks a lot for the nice comment ! Those are some of my first recordings ever, so they're likely to get better each time (sound quality, that is). We have already found a bassist and a second guitarist, and possibly a drummer could join us soon. So maybe the next song you'll hear will feature real musicians !

muahahaha i justmade some weird lame shit in pt
do remind that none of the riffs or solos may be used cuz there copyrighted by ME
this song was based on the idea of what would happen if i would run up to the first alcoholic drug addict i see and violently force him to listen to this shit which will result in a brutal depresive mental breakdown wich will cause him/her to run infront of the next bus to end the terrible earache caused by my song
hopefully yall understand that none of this should be taken serious
but i actualy did follow a scale, so no random crap

Imprison the Flesh
This is the only tab our band has so far, and it isn't much but its bad ass. Its called from ashes to darkness. this song is experimental as we usually play death and black metal. Our Band is called inmprison the flesh. drums are little off but you get the piont.

There's some great stuff on here. Anyway, here's one my favorite completed songs I have written (but I've completed very few). It's incredibly simple as far as theory goes but I hope you all enjoy it.

Tremolo riff in From Ashes to Darkness sounds like Mouring Palace by Dimmu Borgir but i like it.

Thanx for checking it out, Many people say we sound like dimmu or shadows fall and a melodic version of deicide. But thanx for checking it out

Nice job mate, One of the riff and bass lines sounds very similar to Society by Pennywise.
