Hey bro! Yup, sure did. I know the drums sounded like shit, not only the quality of the samples, but just the shit I sequenced, cymbal crashes in bad spots and whatnot. So I decided to overhaul it. Thanks for the comments on the Melo Trash piece, decided I needed to put that lead into a better context.

Thanks for everyone's input. I used nothing other than a Marshall MG100, a Jackson KVX10 and sound recorder, then (as YJM guessed) Fruity Loops for the drums and 'dance' sample. The 'now who's ready to beat some ass?' quote is from Sealab 2021.
I should record another song within a week but as far as actually releasing an EP, I've got the tracklist sorted and a concept for the art but haven't even got a band name.
I was thinking perhaps Meconium (it literally means a baby's first shit but sounds like just another death metal band name), Milton Rabbit or Random Sequence Of Numbers but nothing's certain.

Here's a cover we did a while ago of One by One by Severed Savior. We fucked up in a lot of places but it wasn't that bad. I'm on the right channel and my friend is on the left channel. I also played the solo.

Cheers, I really enjoyed that. I didn`t really notice the fuck ups that much, and this song is pretty hard to get accurate anyway.Oh and nice solo! The drums were a drum machine right?

Thanks man. It wasn't a drum machine though, it was a drum program called fruity loops.

SFU: Pretty cool. I got lost at the intro riff a few times when listening, but yeah, nice. Decent tone, man. It sort of cuts through a bit. Its been ages since I played that song, which I remember being the first thing I tried out on my jackson when tryin it at the store. memories.
Nice harmonics too

Here's my fantasy goregrind song, Skull Full Of Unicorns. I recorded it and mixed it yesterday but I need to fix the timing in the solo part. I should also put some gay Lord Of The Rings sample instead of the one now.
It's a massive 49 seconds long so no worries for people with dial-up. Listen to it, fucking, and tell me what you think.

alright, i added a bit more to the viking metal song thing, and tried to get down and brutal with the second. It didnt work too well, but a sorta neat diminished solo

Acid Dancers
I was up till 5.30 this morning recording and mixing this song. It's probably my best song so far. Very catchy, lots of fucked up timing, many different genre influences and a couple of solos too (although one is blues). Not the most brutal but my most technical song thus far and the longest I've made in a while (3:20) so fucking listen to it.

My friend asked me to make a short intro for a gig his band is playing in on sunday. It's ambient and has cool samples. I reckon if you left a child by themselves in a dark room, with this playing you could psychologically damage them.

Pretty cool shit antipunx. I'm a thrash head. You also incorporate a death metal aura to some of those riffs. One riffs sounds like you ripped off slayer's raining blood.

k13m: killer doodling. The first one sounds wicked like a killer clown song. Cool intervals though. The second sounds sweet as hell. Nice harmonic minor soloing, cool lil sweep in there too.
Cyberwaste: Tone sounds alot like dimebag to me. Damn, that's tuned LOW. Killer riffage, those db drum blasts sound sick as fuck. I like it

I dont spose I could be cheeky and ask that you send me like, a 30 sec sample of playing through your POD 2.0 in that set up, like maybe even just a part of the guitar track from those? Its what I use, but mine currently sounds like shit (it crackles alot, too much bass) I reckon its my cables, so Id like to hear what you were getting from it, if thats ok.
I listened to Vile Cremation, that first riff is actually pretty bad ass dude. Nice stuff.

I usually don't post my work because I don't like what I write enough, but I have been working on this piece for the last day or two, and I like it.

I like the sound of the outro riff there. Bar 25's riff starts out a bit average, but that second part of it is much better.

hey you got some good riffs in there, work on the rythms though, they over power the riffs sometimes. Maybe a volume adjustment at the guitar menu?

Holy shit dude! Your stuff truly kicks some serious fucking ass. I love it all. Those melody lines are just kick fucking ass! Excellent work! That first riff in the first song is just sick as hell, and the breakdown melody of the 3rd one just gave me a hardon. Nice work.

This is a new song I recorded roughly a week ago. I guess it has a bit of a Cephalic Carnage sound in parts and clocks in at just over a minute and a half. The song has quite a lot of tapping for some reason. Listen to it fucking and tell me what you think.

I've also added a 30sec intro to the Straight Edge Tattoo song

Just an unfinished tab of the first song of about 6-7 from my band. Using these as like, practice tracks and as such they dont sound perfect (second bar, those opens are pick hammers above the pick ups on those strings, for example. dont know how to tab this. and some strings ring out.) so of course guitar pro isnt perfect but as a means of getting tight to the signatures, I think itll work ok.
This tab is quite unfinished and a departure from my normal style. Id be interested in what people think so far (but be aware that as a composition its not in final form, theres like 3 more riffs to add to that and arrange.)

Seve: kicks ass as always!
Six Feet: It's really hard to hear, music is good though.
ImBored: very wierd sounding stuff you got there. I'd like to hear it with some drums. Definitely unique sounding.

A little cool riff I put together for me and my buddy, starting up a band. I dunno. I wanted it to be an instrumental track, cuz I can't see any vocals being built up from what I have there. I dunno. Maybe it'll be nice.
I exported it to gp4 since not everybody in here can afford or get hold of gp5 or whatever.
Anyways, tell me what you think. It would likely become some kind of wank-metal (powermetal) track since we both are interested in doing that, right atm.

I like many sorts of metal, really. Fell for powermetal for good a couple of months ago, so thats my trip pt.. Nevertheless, I'm still into the brutal metal aswell. I do almost all genres. Hehe.
But really, I don't know what that riff would fit into so what the heck. Time will tell..

alrite dudes? back once again (with the ill behaviour). Another tab from my band, we like to call ourselves Archaic. This is used to practice to and get tight with, along with indepth analysis for the other instruments. Written last year, sounds best with GP5 as the real playing thing really pronounces the human nuances, such as letting things ring etc.
Oh and I couldnt be arsed making the outro fade so it just quits lol. Interesting how I managed to transcribe it all properly in one tempo.

Just a beginning of an atmospheric black or something (similar to negura bunget style - great band...)

Pretty killer piece. I'm not much of a black metal person, but that was really kickass! Those chords are twisted! Nice work!

Same/similar chords (All open fourths I think it is? Save for the E string) to Obscura, I believe. Thats the only similarity I can see, I honestly dont think it sounds like it at all except for that, though Ill check out Obscura again. If it is, Ill just draw another progression from later in the song and have them punch out the uppper melody. Cheers for the rolleyes warning.
Edit: Gay. Sounded too much like it I think now (Hadnt listened to Obscura in TIME) so cheers. I did what I said but it still sounds similar despite spanning all the strings now;
Code:
-5-------
-5-3-----
-5-3-2---
---3-2---
-----2---
---------
Like so. I reckon its the wall of fourths chord goin on there is all, seems to provoke the atmosphere.

Here's a small song me and my twin brother did during the xmas holidays. It isn't metal, just pure 'improvising' mainly in C# minor together with a drum machine in his pedal... My brother's playing bass (it's a warwick thumb for anyone who wants to know, maybe you can guess by the tone) Ohh and a fair bit of
Nothing majorly brilliant but is a nice listen. The phaser is a bit too much maybe, but it was for fun so don't take it seriously:P Sometimes the phaser/his amp I played through cuts out frequencies so all you hear is the whoooosh thing
http://s13.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=...M22SG18CK81CM73
Maybe this kind of shite would go down well at an open mic at a pub or something? (Not to sound ignorant or uncultured, but I don't know if all your countries do these. Basically a pub night with an open microphone anyone can perform at. Obvious really)
