Nile were great. Did anybody else feel fucked over by no encore!??! I wanted to hear 'Unas the slayer of the gods' and 'lashed to the slavestick' so bad that i was sort of disappointed, but thinking back at it now, they did deliver so much quality shit and since their arms were quite possibly melting off their bodies after an hour...i forgive them
The sound at the venue was awful wherever you stood.
I wasn't at all suprised as i have seen a lot of stuff there now, and new a sound like Nile would need something like the enmore in size to be good (Or the Gaelic club provided it wasn't split entirely into two floors.) I have NO idea what equipment the Gaelic club has, but its just not rocking 
thats the chin-stroker view. but fuck....

They did the some in Melbourne. No encore and mainly stuff from their new album but didn't play Lashed To The Slavestick. Although the corner hotel is a shit venue, the sound was great.
I was devistated that I missed Psycroptic then had to watch a whole set of this shitty black metal band. The guitarist was so amateurish. He spent almost the whole set looking at the fretboard and had shit stage presence.
But seeing Nile was awesome. |

The black metal band that played in Sydeny .. ??Ramar?? some shit .. fucking sucked.
Guitarist = 2 stock BC Rich Warlocks, one was Acrylic with stock pickups. His gear was kinda funny .. In a rediculously stupid way.

Disgorge in Sydney owned. Fuck I loved it. Did anyway else go to any of the two Sydney shows. Well they weren't really shows; they were cruises! That's right! Fucking around Darling Harbour on a boat for 4 hours with Brutal Fucking Metal blasting!
And I'm serious in saying there were as many band members as fans.. probabaly a 50-50 split (but I only went on the Sunday show, heard there was more on Saturday)
Anyway Im interested whether any metaltabbers saw Disgorge in Syndey.
Btw theyre playing Melbourne at the noise bar on March 12...

Wait for it. When I was under 18 I could afford gigs but couldn't go to them. Now I just turned 18 and can, but can't afford it. I am missing out on Gospel Of The Horns and Stargazer tonight. Again, HMB is a shitty venue, the volume is up too high so everything sounds like a wall of noise, and so would Crypto.
When I went there to see Behemoth they trew Carbon off the bill to soundcheck and managed to make it sound sexy but I'm not sure how it would be for Crypto. If it makes you feel better, I missed out on Nile by 3 days (although the sound at QUT guild bar is very, very very shitty).
Enjoy Opeth, you're lucky it's all ages and it's a great venue... When Arch Enemy played there it was 18+ so stfu and wait.
