BC Rich '03 NJ Warlock
I had to get rid of my Jackson KX10D, and I sold my first axe (Jackson PS2) to a mate.
I fully intend on getting a Custom Ran... but thats another post (and another year at this rate saving up is hard )

Right now a low-mid range Jackson, PS-4 2000 made in Japan. For it's price it's a great guitar, made a few modifications to it, adjusted the action filed a few frets, blocked the tremolo. If I dropped a nice trem in, it would actually be a pretty kick ass guitar, the neck is great and it's solid wood. Even when it's not plugged in the notes and artificial harmonics seem to leap off the guitar, always a good sign. My next guitar will most likely be a Schecter, haven't decided which model but I really love the way they play.

Have you modified the PS4 at all? It's actually a nice one to mod a bit. It can be made stage worthy very easily.

I have 8 guitars of which none costed me more than $500.
I like buying cheap guitars and making them kickass for some reason.
1. My main guitar, is my washburn which kicks ass. I will be doing a lot of things to this guitar. When I'm done with this guitar it will probably be worth a hell of a lot more.
2. Acoustic guitar, Olympia by Tacoma
3. BC Rich body art JRV ( the one with all the skulls on it)
4. Jackson RX10D. Got real cheap on ebay, dont play it that much though.
5. This cheap Peavey starter strat guitar that I got on ebay for $60. It actualy doesn't play to bad. And I did a EVH make over looks kinda like this now
6. My very first guitar that was also cheap starter stat. I havent done anything to this guitar.
7. Some Vantage bass that I got real cheap at a music store. I dont play bass so I dont really use it very much.
8. And finally this explorer shaped copy guitar. Hondo I think the company is.
That is all.

alvarez acoustics rock!
i have a 75th anniversary commem. edition alvarez artist series midnight special 6 string.. i love it
my first electric is an ibanez strat copy that i call the uber-strat (h-s-h- and floyd trem). currently for sale!
an ibanez rg370dx also currently for sale, about 2 months old, and i quit playin it after a month
i quit playing it because i got an rg 570, my main axe, now.
i also have a yamaha dgx-202 keyboard, pretty sweet for quickly coming up with progressions to record and jam over. sounds for it are generic, but it gives you rhythm and drum parts for like 100 different styles to record with, all you have to do is play 1 chord to change the key it's playing it.
also a yamaha yas-23 alto sax that i've had since 5th grade (im a senior in college).
and my fiancee's flute and gemeinhart or something piccolo.
hmm i think that's it til i get a violin and she gets a cello!

Squire Affinity Strat. It's five years old, and it's been a piece of shit the past 2 1/2 years, but I can't afford a new one. It's the only guitar I've ever owned, and every single tab I've made has been using that guitar. It's very difficult to tune accurately. Most of my tuner caps were missing for a while ( I had to tune those strings with a wrench), I installed new machine heads last summer, they were taken off of a broken Charvel neck.
I have no amp or pedals, although I used to, they are all broken now. I play through my computer, I like ReValver, although I wish it had some flanger on it...
I always use Dunlop Tortex picks (either .5 or .6mm, red and orange), but I'll use whatever strings I can find.

I can't believe it's still playable. Actually, another thing that's wrong with it is that my bridge has been fucked up for a while, too. I would put in a new string, and if I tried to pick it, it would make a *clank* kind of sound because it would be far too low and resting on the frets. I have to jam something underneath part of it in order for it to even be playable. I'll take a picture of it and show you soon, it's fucking hilarious.

No shit! I guess you put that guitar through so much playing it couldn't take anymore, along with your amp and pedals! I would love to see what you could get done musically if you had some quality gear.

Yeah, I'd like to get a new guitar soon, although if I did get the money, I'd probably prioritize getting a new computer first. I have no idea what I'd get though. Probably something cheap, like $250 or $300 tops. I'd definitely need a single locking tremolo so that tuning wouldn't be much of a problem anymore. I can dream if I want to.

wanna buy my rg370dx for $300 (includes shipping)?
mint condition, upgraded the humbuckers to the v7 and v8 on the prestige lines, so it sounds pretty hot. 2 months old, barely played. i have a 570 that i play on instead, and gotta sell 2 of my guitars to pay bills and whatnot comes with a tkl hard shell, new.
it has a double locking trem, but the edge pro 2 is the best trem you can get in that price range.. it's really sweet. much better than lower end jackson floyds

I own a:
BC Rich Platinum Series Warlock (this one is my pride and joy)
Ibanez RG450. I lent this to a mate and it came back with the neck so badly damaged that you cant palm mute it properly. I am still waiting on his money to pay to have it re-aligned
Valencia Acoustic. My first guitar and it costed me a mere $90
I have sold my first electric which was an "SX" strat copy.
Also i used to have a yamaha bass when i picked up bass.

Thanks, few mistakes but oh well. Wish I could record longer, cam only has an 8meg memory card, that's about one minute of video.
I think a forum dedicated to recording would be cool. Darko? Other admins? *hint

Suggest it in the Site Feedback forum. Nomad said he wouldnt mind adding a new forum if enough people want it.

I got (in order):
1. Squire - the one that's like $300.
2. B.C. Rich - Warlock (shitty but when i got it, it looked cool).
3. Washborn - some studio model I got from a guy that used to work for Washborn.
4. Arbor - some pink 80's guitar (by far the best guitar I've ever played in my life, if you can find one i suggest you get it. You won't regret it).
5. Gibson - Les Paul gothic series (one of the last one's before they discontinued the model).
I also have some Tama Rockstar drum set.

Well you obviously have to much spare cash then, or an Ibanez fetish. Donate some to Chris Rezendes for his new guitar.

i've got the 2 guitars in my signature. the rg570 is a killer shred guitar and the alvarez is really one of the nicest playing/sounding acoustics i've seen for under $2500.

Ibanez rg570 '90 Black
Onyx Custom Craft super strat, carved top, 24 frets, LFR trem (disactivated)
The Onyx sounds/plays soooo much better than the rg570 imo, even for an older guitar.

Don't laugh, I have a Fender Stratocaster, but this is my first guitar, I wanna get an Ibanez this summer.
Fender strat sounds bad to play metal, and looks bad, and are expensive.I hate them. The only thing I like in fact is the fretboard because he is very soft...

Um... did you see the post right above you? And no fender strats don't sound bad to play metal, nor do they look bad, and mine was pretty damn cheap. The 'strat' body style is used for MANY 'metal' guitars. I can sweep 'cleaner' on my strat than any other guitar I own. Sound is primarly in the pickup. I threw a SD hot rails in the bridge and it crunches like no other. Strats are worthy for any style!

Meh no worries, just throw in a hot bridge humbucker and anything will be sound good for some metal, so long as it's built decently and you like how it feels. Personally I don't like fenders but I like that ESP Fender-ish looking George Lynch strat with the tiger stripes, but generally I think Kramers, Charvels, and RG's pwn Fenders when it comes to strats.

i guess you did read my post a few above yours...
actually i find it fucking hilarious that there is an actual bandwagon for hating a certain type of guitar. granted its not the best guitar, but i'd say its not bad (better than people let on), and very popular(which i think is the main reason for the backlash....funny how this happens with pretty much everything.)

...like BC Rich. Just because they make cheap models that don't really have any appeal to anyone who is above the beginner level. Shame Jackson is also focusing on the beginner level and ignoring the upper mid-level market. The ridiculous gap between their Pro Series and the USA Select series is going to continue to be filled by Ibanez and ESP...
But anyway. Nothing wrong with Strats, Maiden, Karl Sanders, Yngwie and countless others all manage to shred like bastards on them. I personally don't get on with them however.
My mate's first guitar was a Squier strat and he loves it still.

I read it but i just had to jump on that other guys case haha. I read it all the time and find it funny. I'm not a big strat person, just because of the... thickness of hte sound to me isn't there. For me anyways.
